Title: E-Reader Database Post by: blcklblskt on September 30, 2008, 08:47:17 AM I'm going through the e-Reader database making some edits, but I have a few questions/edits.
1.) The "Sample Pack 5 Card Set" was included with the e-Reader. I made a list of the cards that come with it under Bundled Accessories on the page for it, but I was wondering if there was any way to link that page with the e-Reader's page (or to simply get rid of the Sample Pack 5 Card Set) 2.) For the card-e games (Baseball, Mario Bros., etc.), should I submit the actual card images under "Extra Media", or don't even bother? 3.) The Manhole-e page should be removed. The game was included (as a variant) with the E3 Promo Pack, and also with the Sample Pack 5 Card Set. 4.) For the card-e games, should I scan the entire blister pack that the games came in, or just the card pack itself? I've noticed that Tennis-e and Urban Champion-e are the card pack scans. Thats it for now. If I gots some more questions, I'll post 'em. For the card-e games (Baseball, Mario Bros., etc.), should I submit the actual card images under "Extra Media", or don't even bother? Do you mean for the Sample 5 pack page? You can add one to the game scan area and the rest to extra media, unless you can find a creative way to display all of them in one scans that conforms to the size restriction of 550 pixels on the short side. Quote 3.) The Manhole-e page should be removed. The game was included (as a variant) with the E3 Promo Pack, and also with the Sample Pack 5 Card Set. For the same reason we have game entries for pack-in titles that came with consoles or hardware like Mario Paint, Wii Sports or any of the "Not for Resale" titles, we have these e-reader cards in their own pages. For the simple fact that not everyone who collects has everything CIB and each game deserves it's own page for screenshots, reviews, trivia etc etc. For every E3 Promo pack or Sample 5 card set CIB, there's prob 10 loose ones in a stack like sports cards in a flea market somewhere. Quote 4.) For the card-e games, should I scan the entire blister pack that the games came in, or just the card pack itself? I've noticed that Tennis-e and Urban Champion-e are the card pack scans. Those card packs make good front/back scans. :) Title: Re: E-Reader Database Post by: blcklblskt on September 30, 2008, 12:16:27 PM Unfortunately at this time we can't link games to hardware pages. :P Gotcha Quote Do you mean for the Sample 5 pack page? Makes sense. Quote Those card packs make good front/back scans. :) OK, thanks for the answers ;D. I'll probably submit the images tommorrow then. I also have one more semi-question about the Animal Crossing-e cards series. There is probably no possible way I will get all 300+? cards for the series, so should they just have card #1 listed as the game media, then the rest as extra media? I'll probably list the card list on "trivia" on the page for each series (1-4) My brother probably has all the Super Mario Bros 4 cards, so I'll try to submit those tommorrow also. Title: Re: E-Reader Database Post by: Tan on September 30, 2008, 01:10:50 PM Yeah extra media. If you can, try to get as many onto one scan as possible, 300+ extra media on one page would look nasty and be slow to load. Hopefully if more are submitted we can keep the same format. :)

Sorry for the horrible lie :D. My brother used the computer ALL DAY that day b/c it was his birthday. When I get another day off, I'll try to do it. |
