Title: Doki Doki Panic on cart
Post by: JC on December 26, 2008, 06:37:13 PM
Taking offers on this Famicom Yume Kojo Doki Doki Panic cart. Doki is the game Nintendo hacked to make NES Super Mario Bros. 2 (called SMB USA in Japan). Never been repro'd, I don't think. Thanks.

Best offer so far: $75.

Maybe a stupid question, but are there any major differences between this game and SMB2?

There's a different storyline, characters and a couple of bosses (maybe just repeated bosses). The player selection and bonus screens are much different. In the disk version, you can save, but there isn't a save feature in this port. Gameplay is generally the same. You'll notice little changes like the 1-up symbol, a heart instead of a mushroom, etc.
