Extremely biased list, heavy on titles released in the past 10 years. How old were the people doing this survey - 18? League of Legends is even on there twice!

The list is a joke.

Half the games on the list were released in the past 3-4 years. These guys have basically listed 50 games of something like a Top 250, then added 50 games that got a 85%+ score in the past 3-4 years.

Skyrim second best game ever? Just no. The game was released 6 months ago and you're telling me it's already the second best game ever? Talk about living in the present. Half the Call of Duty series is on there! All the Halo games, too. Even "Halo: CE Anniversary". Why include expansion packs to games as seperate entries? Even if it is a game that should probably make the list like Diablo II.

Saints Row The Third? Fallout New Vegas? FIFA 12? Yeah, that's what I think of when I think of a top 100 ever. ::)

This list is more like "extremely popular games + all popular games of the last 3-4 years". Only 30% of the games should be on the list.

Again with the sequels. A serious list shouldn't contain a single sequel, unless that sequel was "revolutionary" (Super Mario 64, GTA3, etc...)


If I were to make a list like this, I'd probably start by thinking what games truly revolutionized a genre. Or games that were so monumental that they put a genre on the map. Also, I wouldn't limit myself to the past 3-4 years of gaming.

This should be fun: list the missing games.
- Sonic
- The Sims
- ANY beat 'em up game (Street Fighter II...)
- Wolfenstein 3D (first true FPS)
- Metal Slug (or anything by SNK)
- ANY old game (Atari, arcade games)

Sad part? There's no Revelations on there for Assassin's Creed. That was better than the 1st, by far...

Yeeeeeaaaaah! Anyway I'm baffled that Fallout 3 ranks higher than 2 (that is if this were actually a list of better games...)

Technically, Diablo 3 had an open beta, so it was at least playable. ;D

edit2: ok apparently it was an attachment not a signature, i removed it. so idk if anyone saw it, but it was a gore pic labelled christian victim that i didn't add to that post. not sure if my account was hacked or what? sorry for hijacking thread slightly but ya, if any admins could maybe check a list of IPs that have signed into my account that would be great if possible. in the meantime i'll change my password just in case.

That would be an existing attachment from when the site went down.

Unfortunately, that can happen. We haven't taken the time to track down the exact cause, but it appears to be linked to the msg id (e.g. msg137387 in your link). Those ids are getting re-referenced after the outage, so you get any attachments on your post if someone was previously attached to it. I may need to take some time to find out where the attachment information is stored to clear it out.

it looks that way but what has me really confused/surprised is that this problem implies these pictures were posted at some point in the past by someone intentionally...i really hope it was just spam, if not rfg has a dark past it seems lol :P

I know what the pic was.

It was used by someone a year (or 2... probably more?) ago who was arguing with me and wanted a ban. They have since re-registered under another name and become a peaceful member of the site once again.

AFAIK nothing else that will pop up is even remotely as offensive.

That was the worst list I have ever seen

The saddest thing. To enter the competition you voted for the single title you thought was the best game ever... so a pretty crappy list compiled from that (even if the games are new people seriously had them as their number 1 game of all time?). Plus with duplicates and whatnot, it's a pretty poor list too.

Can't remember what I voted for, it would have had to be either Snatcher or Shenmue from memory.

What about the best Halo.....Halo: Wars

How well was Halo Wars received? I'm pretty sure it would have been my preferred game (if I played it) but I figured most Halo fans would have been disappointed by the genre change.

Most diehard Halo fans I know liked it, of course they also played games like Warcraft 2 and 3 and Starcraft beforehand so they knew how RTS games worked. Leave it to Ensemble to make a damn good console RTS. RIP Ensemble.
