Title: Microsoft E3 2012 Keynote Post by: Duke.Togo on June 04, 2012, 01:48:01 PM So did anyone else check this one out live?
For me, it was really blah. I don't get into the kind of games that they showcased so there wasn't any software to wow me. The interesting part for me is the smart move by Microsoft to bring the Wii U idea farther along with SmartGlass. I was genuinely surprised to hear that they are going to support iOS and Android alongside Windows 8 platforms. It seems that someone has their head on straight in that division. Internet browsing? Meh, we'll see. I'm ready for the "but it doesn't support Flash" moaning to begin. Thoughts? Title: Re: Microsoft E3 2012 Keynote Post by: Murnanaman on June 04, 2012, 02:23:25 PM It sucked.
Title: Re: Microsoft E3 2012 Keynote Post by: slackur on June 04, 2012, 03:36:52 PM I'm a Halo and Gears fanboy, so naturally I'm looking forward to those, but really there wasn't anything besides some nifty new Halo 4 gameplay that held my interest whatsoever.
The Kinect and new entertainment features focus just shows how far apart the direction MS is taking and where my interests are. The entire CoD:BO2 gameplay simply made me yearn for co-op, especially after the new Ghost Recon did Co-op so awesomely. Title: Re: Microsoft E3 2012 Keynote Post by: Izret101 on June 04, 2012, 03:58:11 PM I heard about Smartglass, iOS and Andriod compatibility(presumably only with that) and Internet explorer for 360 and increased kinect functionality.
Not really interested in any of those things. I am interested in Halo 4 and Borderlands 2 on the gaming front. Nothing else has piqued my interest yet. Title: Re: Microsoft E3 2012 Keynote Post by: Leynos on June 04, 2012, 04:36:53 PM What I saw was Nintendo copies 360 controller and 360 copies Wii U tablet functionality. Halo 4 looked like a carbon copy of Metroid Prime. It ended with Call of Cooties burp flop 2
HOORAY FOR ZOIDBURG! Title: Re: Microsoft E3 2012 Keynote Post by: bickman2k on June 04, 2012, 05:08:17 PM This sums it up:

Interested to see how many features they can match to the Wii U Gamepad with the tablet functionality, but overall I found it underwhelming. Title: Re: Microsoft E3 2012 Keynote Post by: blcklblskt on June 05, 2012, 12:30:20 PM I think the SmartGlass feature is pretty interesting. Nearly everyone has a smartphone now, so I think it is pretty cool to take advantage of that. I doubt much will be done with it, though.

It'll make navigating so much easier. Now if only they could fix the issue for hardcore users that have to wait 3+ minutes for apps to load, or the utterly broken dashboard when you have a ton of games loaded on your profile. :) Title: Re: Microsoft E3 2012 Keynote Post by: Tynstar on June 05, 2012, 03:29:12 PM Now if only they could fix the issue for hardcore users that have to wait 3+ minutes for apps to load, or the utterly broken dashboard when you have a ton of games loaded on your profile. :) I dont see that happening any time soon. It is a problem for such a small amount of people.
