Bate's is always my first stop on when I get to MI. Those nasty little grease bombs are the best. Of course, I don't know if they have any in the Flint/Flushing/Grand Blanc/Saginaw area. One thing I do like up there that we don't have here in Cincinnati (among other things) is YaYa's chicken. That stuff is really good. Oh, and I'm not sure if there is more than one, but Walli's is also a nice place to eat. Gah. YaYa's sounds soooo good right now. Stupid Cincinnati.

I didn't get a chance to try one up there and see what the differences are. I should remember that I need to get one if I am able to return at the end of this month.

If Bate's is a typical greasy spoon there are plenty of those around. they are usually on a corner, quite small and done in white tile. there's Mott's, Bray's and others. I go to Brays whenever I go to a bar called Knockouts on Ford and Newburgh. It's right down the street so I have to stop by when I'm in the neighborhood.
