bickman's organized it the past couple years. What site did we want to use this year?

Yahoo has been the only site I've used and I've been happy with it.

I just sent out invites to those who played last year. Still on Yahoo.

EDIT 2: I also upped the number of teams we can have to 16 total, so if someone wants to get in that didn't last year, let me know and I can send you an invite.

We had three WR per team last year, right?  Could we change that to 3 RB instead, or even an option to have either 3 WR or 3 RB?

...well, we certainly had a depth issue last year, and personally I BURNED through WRs and RBs. Really, either wouldn't bother me, though I think RBs had a more consistent point range.

I have already killed the no-cut list.

I'd like to take part this year, although I also am in a league on NFL.com.

I'd be down to do an RFGen fantasy league if you guys still need one more??

Autodraft is fine by me. Because the draft is timed for the US (understandably!) I always end up missing it anyway.

I'd like live draft but either way is fine. All I really need to know is the date of the draft so I know when to setup my pre-draft rankings.

I think I'm going to set it up for autodraft on the latest day in August so I can make changes to the league as needed. Get your pre-draft lineups set!

I'll miss not having a live draft, but auto-draft might not be the worst... You can set a personal player ranking, even test drive it in mock drafts and see how it works beforehand. Then you still get the long game of team management, trading, waiver acquisitions, etc... I think I can live with it. :)

I'm going to make a cut off for signups this Friday and draft next Friday. We have 10 teams currently. Is there anyone else that wants in? We need an even number.

I have a friend who was looking for a league to join to try out fantasy football, so if we go odd numbered I could just get him to sign up here, haha. He has started a bit of an SNES collection, so it wouldn't be that big of a stretch!

We're currently at 11 (insert Spinal Tap joke here), with 2 players from last year still to sign up. I sent them messages about it, so if we get one of them in, we're solid. If both join, we'll need another.

EDIT: One of the 2 has declined, so if we get the last person in, I'm closing registration.

I think i can convince Nupoile to play.  He said he'd join in if we need an extra body.

We have 12 teams now! I'll set the draft to pick on Friday unless everyone is okay with drafting any time this week.

I'm fine with it. I work overnights so trying to plan a live draft with me included might be too much of a challenge.

So the auto-draft...basically a computer sets up our draft picks in the order we set our pre-draft rankings and gives us the highest available player on that list, am i right?

Right.

Almost! It completely fills your starting lineup, including D/ST and K, before taking any bench players. So if it rolls around to your pick and you already have 2 RBs, but an RB is at the top of your list, it'll go down your list to the next position needed among your starters.

Then for bench slots I believe there's some logic in there to grab you a balanced amount of RBs, WRs, and a backup QB and TE based on your rankings.

Question: if we change some of the auto rankings for the top 50 (or so) players, do we still get to keep the standard rankings for players ranked #50+?

I'm going to set it to draft tonight before I go to bed, so you should have another 10-11 hours to set your lineup.

Heh i noticed that last night.  Seattle's DEF was my first priority but i probably asked for it too late in the draft.  I'm happy with Houston's defense.  J.J. Swatt!

I'm very happy with my team.  My third WR and TE are kind of weak, but hopefully i can fix that with waivers soon.   Looks like there are still some decent players out there

I'm fairly happy with my team. WR heavy, unfortunately, but that tends to happen to me. Wish I had a better 2nd string RB.

I'm Life's a Brees. I saw Thomas was benched but he's a rookie. I never would have started him over Owen Daniels normally. May have to re-think that for next week though.

That's why I want to have a flex position available.  I have 3 RBs I could start this week, but I'm stuck starting only 2 while my WRs are so-so (Decker excluded).

The only WR on my bench worth anything is Santana Moss, and even then I don't think he'll do much this season.

Apart from week 1, he's been a big dissapointment. Still can't quite bench him for Dalton though.

Dalton is reliable and had been for two years.  Kaepernick played 7 games last year.  Thats too small of a sample set to call him elite, i think he's over rated. 

I can't believe the first time I sit Romo, he gets 44 points.  :(

Grue, if you could keep Atlanta from getting more than 6 points, I'd appreciate it.  ;D

Incidentally, screw Detroit for making the decision on CJ so late. I started Tony Romo in my other league, had 2 15+ RBs on my bench, started CJ, and yet I'm still winning in that league by 65 points. Wish I had that week here.

Techie, if you could keep Tony Gonzales, and by way Atlanta, from getting more than 2 points, we'd both appreciate it. ;)

If I had started Romo and Blackmon, I'd be in 3rd place right now.  But, I can't complain about rising from 12th to 4th in three weeks.

It's not much, but I have Kyle Rudolph. I don't know why I'm going ahead with the trade for Cobb at this point, as I have quite a few replacement RB options now that people have been sorting through players for the week, and WR options are thin.

My bench is really bad.  I have santana moss sitting out,  and I'm really thinking about replacing Vincent Jackson for him.   Tampa Bay is ugly so far

I've been catching up - 2nd now, only 30 pts behind for Points For. Seamar's going to be a tough opponent this week though.

Receivers, GO! 45 pts from 2 WRs, and it's not even the 2-minute warning of the 2nd quarter.

I can't believe the game Den is having right now.  3 players doubling their projections and McCoy nearly doubling his.  I'd be surprised if even get near his score.

I don't think I've ever been a part of a closer matchup. I won by 0.38 points. Wow.

I have 4 players out on BYE and I can only sub in one position.  I don't have a prayer this week.

I had 3 on BYE... had somewhat adequate backups prepared. Yet, I somehow end up playing against Grue, who had no problem fielding players this week

Team's set...looking at 105.82 for Orig Proj. Not quite as good as monkees, but I'll take it. My only saving grace this week may be the DET @ TB matchup.

^You said it.  5 touchdowns for Jamaal Charles, and only 1 of them was an actual rushing TD?  Insane!  I also enjoyed seeing Greg Jennings give Project Nintendo 22 points seeing as how after I drafted him in the 7th round, he failed to put up more than two points most of the season.
