MORE INFO:
(Not My quote)"For collectors this is pure gold"

I think what most people don't seem realize what is on sale here. This is not "a N.E.S"
This version of the Deluxe Set is the first product ever distributed by Nintendo of America to American retailers. Nintendo's test market originally consisted of 100,000 copies of the Deluxe Set distributed in specific New York retailers who agreed to tryout their products, all with a return guarantee in case it doesn't catch up like expected. The first wave went well, so later in early 1986 Nintendo of America expanded their test market to the areas of Los Angeles, and thereafter the Nintendo Entertainment System was offered in 12 of the most important centers in United States.

Using another approach to market the system to North American retailers as an "entertainment system", as opposed to a video game console, Nintendo positioned the NES more squarely as a toy, emphasizing accessories such as the Zapper light gun, and more significantly, R.O.B. (Robotic Operating Buddy), a battery-powered robot that responds to special screen flashes with physical actions.[8] Although R.O.B. succeeded in generating retailer attention and interest for the NES, retailers were still unwilling to sign up to distribute the console.[6][fn 9] Only after an intense direct campaign by a dedicated "Nintendo SWAT team",[13] including telemarketing and shopping mall demonstrations, as well as a risk-free proposition to retailers, did Nintendo secure enough retailer support (about 500 retailers, including FAO Schwarz) to conduct a market test in New York City. Nintendo agreed to handle all store setup and marketing, extend 90 days credit on the merchandise, and accept returns on unsold inventory.[fn 10]

The NES would be released in New York City on October 18, 1985, with an initial shipment of 100,000 systems. Each set would include a console, two gamepads, a R.O.B., a Zapper, and the Game Paks Gyromite and Duck Hunt.[14] With encouraging sales over the holiday season,[fn 11] Nintendo added Los Angeles as a test market in February 1986, followed by Chicago and San Francisco, progressively spreading out into the top 12 US markets, finally going nationwide in September.[16] Nintendo managed to secure a distribution deal with toy company Worlds of Wonder, which leveraged its popular Teddy Ruxpin and Lazer Tag products to get more stores to carry the console.[8]

For the nationwide launch, the NES was available in two different packages: the full-featured $249 USD "Deluxe Set" as configured during the New York City launch, and a scaled-down "Control Deck" package which included two gamepads and a copy of Super Mario Bros. To accompany this wide release, Nintendo marketed eighteen launch titles: 10-Yard Fight, Baseball, Clu Clu Land, Donkey Kong Jr. Math, Duck Hunt, Excitebike, Golf, Gyromite, Hogan's Alley, Ice Climber, Kung Fu, Mach Rider, Pinball, Stack-Up, Super Mario Bros., Tennis, Wild Gunman, and Wrecking Crew.

So....as you can see,i got 1ofakind history here! lol

^the buy it now is NOT the asking price,it is significantly north of that actually,my selling limit is too low at the moment had to list it for "messaged offers"

If you think the thing is worth 10 grand put a 10k BIN on it OBO.

Or run an auction with the reserve at whatever stupid high price you think it is worth.

Putting an auction up with a BIN of 3ks dollars and then saying "make me offers for more than my current asking price" just makes zero sense.

Exactly what I would do - make it stupid high and take OBO offers on it. Then, just re-list with the reserve in mind if you have a lot of activity on the auction, otherwise take the highest offer.

That has to be one of the dumbest auction I have ever seen. If you want "north" of 3K put it up to what you want.

Why put it up for 3K when you want more? If someone buys it that is a legal binding contract. I am not "pissing" on your auction I just think it wasnt the smartest thing to do. Why does being disabled change anything? Disabled or not it is a bad idea.

i dont have to ship it lol and it says you will be refunded if someone that cant read buys it XD
if someone hit the buy it now thats what would happen, its not like swat is gonna show up and tell me to fork it over XD

this is kind of a test market of a test-market once i have my clientele i will start up the real auction.

I really do understand what you are doing. But starting for that low (when you want more) seems odd. If you started it at your asking price would you have not found your buyers that way?

again i dont have the option of starting over 3g's thanks to ebay, i more than likely will negotiate a price from messaged interest then do a straight paypal transaction so ebay gets f**ked like it f**ks me from the start lol

Please don't start shit over being disabled - we have plenty of community members with various forms of disabilities, both mental and physical, and they have no problems co-existing here with other members. NO ONE BROUGHT UP A DISABILITY, AND YOUR DISABILITY WAS NOT MENTIONED UNTIL YOU BROUGHT IT UP. The questioning was about why your auction was listed the way it is, and wasn't a personal attack. Some people are just more blunt than others in their questioning. No one here is on a witch hunt, and I want to make it clear that your disability will not be called into question.

...now, back to your auction. I'm guessing you can't cancel it since the auction now has watchers, or some other lame practice from eBay? Have you talked to their customer service about the issue in question?

no i did not and this is f**king stupid....
your assumptions about me being disabled and the fact yal cant grasp or read why its listed the way it is.

i mentioned that because this is a charity auction of sorts for my child and future not just to get a shit ton of cash and go "yay me"

though i maybe a tad hostile,im just coming off another forum that trolled the shit out of my thread/listing after knowing its for a  f**king child...
like seriously does nobody see this is fricking history and not have a continuous to know down playing someone whos trying to do a honorable thing for his coming child is just shier wrong/rude?!

thats why im like this,i apologize, its not your fault but seemed this thread was taking the same route..."under the bridge with the trolls" lol

OKAY I am not one to ever say anything and I have nothing against anyone or anything especially in this community which I do hold a special place for...Shadow - is not assuming anything in the sorts of you being "disabled" you previously stated in one of your earlier comments that you were disabled..as it could be misread as you are in fact having a child...not a disability as some would read in that comment you put earlier I do believe...we are not here for a witch hunt as Shadow also said...

Do you think you get trolled because maybe because somethings aren't thought out before they are said? this isn't what gaming communities such as this one are for trolling is bad karma and just bad mojo..so put the shit aside and move on.

On another note..it is a very nice item...would be cool to have..and I have seen these quite a few times before...you set your price at what  you want it it...well like many others on here including myself have sold hundreds of items on eBay you can change your price at any given time...especially at a BIN...now to shut it off...you can always add a reserve on a BIN, you can also change it to a bid...you can do many things with BIN's.

Sorry I hope I didn't sound rude or anything..this is a calm community were 99.98% of us all get along especially with our moderators because they do rock in a proverbial sense.

Good Luck with your sale and coming child as most or even all of us on here wish you the best of luck.

Cool collection. Gratz on having a kid. Good luck with the auction. Hope you enjoyed the site. But i don't think your attitude is the kind we are looking for around here.
Of course i could very well have my actions overridden by someone else. If so i will get over it.

No hard feelings.
But for the time being...

kudos, folks. we chased this dumb ass out over at the racketboy forums where he tried to find "loopholes" in our two-week waiting period for selling and then absolutely berated the folks who told him the rule applied to him. It's good to see the same thing going on over here. I'll report the auction to eBay as well.

King Koop or whatever your name is: maybe if you weren't such a hostile jerk everywhere you went and learned to abide by the selling rules of the various places you are trying to move this (including eBay's), you'd garner some reasonable interest.  That said, what you have is NOTHING SPECIAL (yes, yes, I've read the hyperbolic description).  Only a complete idiot would pay a fraction of what you are asking for, let alone $20K+.  You are mistaken about its condition, rarity, and desirability. A "holy grail" this is not. But, given your hilariously bad recent eBay feedback and your agitated way of writing/engaging others, you'd be lucky to sell this at all. Who in their right mind would want to deal with you, regardless of what you were selling?

Also, raising money for your own child is not a "charity auction". If you want to do right by that kid, put this on eBay with a reasonable reserve (I'd suggest $300, perhaps) and start the auction at $0.  You'll be MUCH more likely to get some of the money you say you need by taking this approach.

If you're not aware of his history, he's been chased out of here before as well as out of most major sites in the past, including NintendoAge multiple times. He likes to brag about his Nintendo hardware collection and his multiple number of Sharp TVs, and he's a big Power Glove enthusiast. Also, he has a habit of blowing up at people claiming that he has a disability when one was not called into question.

Knew it was immediately him when someone sent me a PM about a possible transaction and his follow-up post to Tynstar, who happens to love talking with him. ;D

Wow now that was an exciting thread, read like a novel.  It had its ups and its downs and it even had a happy ending  :)

I hope he figures out in life that even though the internet is slightly anonymous, it can still impact you negatively in your "offline" life.  I just don't understand why people don't realize this.  I try to go by the policy of treating people respect in all forms of communication, because life is difficult enough without someone treating you awful.  I do have times of error in this and try to apologize when I can, but it seems KingKoop89 is incapable of being a decent human being and owing up to being a jerk.

This was all pretty amazing.  I went to look at his history on Ebay, and maybe I'm seeing something that isn't there, but this auction http://tinyurl.com/l4fx2ht that he got the neg for seems fishy.  Granted it's over and bad blood was shared by all parties, but he says he's selling 2 of that sign and there isn't any shot with two signs in it.  He presents two pictures of the same sign in a way that makes it look like there are two of them, but not taking a picture of both in one shot seems a bit shady.

So why am I going into this much detail about an already failed deal?  Well because not only was he kind of a prick, but it looks like he is in the beginning stages of outright thievery.  Hopefully he's gone for good this time and he won't be back 2 months down the road to sucker people out of their money.  Also this line:

So....as you can see,i got 1ofakind history here! lol

Pissed me off for so many different reasons.  Mostly because, and I know I'm getting worked up over pure semantics, he said himself this was one of 100,000.  I guarantee there is one more out there in this exact shape.  And don't throw out anything about the serial number being unique or some nonsense like that.  I'm busy getting mad at the wrong thing over here and nothing is going to stop me from exacting righteous vengeance for this oh so minor slight.  HULK SMASH OVER INCONSEQUENTIAL GENERALIZATION!!  HIM MISREPRESENT FACTS IN MINOR WAY THAT MAKE ITEM SEEM MORE VALUABLE THAN MARKET WILL BEAR OUT!!!  SMAAAAASH!!!

I love how he says in that auction that "both signs have the same Chip in the corner...and that both don't have the hang tab"  so your right on hes totally lying and scamming people...I think someone that is on NA get on and send him to the Hall of Shame...I am not exactly sure how to do it anymore...but we need to make sure we have all of his screen names...eBay, Racketboy, Nintendo Forum sites, Atari age, Nintendo age..so on and so forth..so this artard gets banned from all gaming sites for good.

Wow just read through all of the pages. What a story. Glad some of you guys called him out on his bluff and banned him again.
It's great to see people looking out for one another on here.

So I saw a video he posted and I went along with it but I did not know this was due to members here at rfgeneration. He does however mention he has explosive personality disorder which could contribute to his actions in forms and such.   I have no beef with the guy but I am sure you guys might want to here what he is saying about everything.  He might just be a misunderstood person but you can never truly know someone unless you meet them in person or just talk to them..   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m35z0DScnfo

Since you aren't aware of his history here and at other forums, he uses his "disability" as an excuse/crutch at opportune moments and is never once apologetic. The first time he was on our forums, I went out of my way to work with him and defend him, giving him multiple opportunities to peacefully co-exist here. Instead, he made a point to go out of his way to attack members of our site and even attack them off the site, which is when I put my foot down.

Fast forward a couple years later, and he made a point to access our site from another IP address and the cycle started over. He was told not to come back once, and pushed his luck again and got a forum ban. He then signed up and antagonized the community for a THIRD time, and I IP banned him again.

We have many members with mental disabilities in our forums. I've received PMs from multiple folks explaining their disabilities and have helped them work through issues in the past, including forum etiquette and disputes. He barely made an attempt when I worked with him, and at this point I doubt there is a gaming community that could support him, disability or not.

TL;DR: The recent response was harsh because he ruined any kind of good will he had here before. The disability is a crutch he uses.

Oh, we hated on his collection.
When you parade around that you have three Sharp TVs, and every other post shows some sort of Nintendo hardware, it starts to get old - especially when he hates on other people's collection threads and tries to hijack them to one-up them with his stuff.

I think he said NES Connection it looks to be a newer site, and I found him on there, already banned (Slow, boring day). Anyway there's nothing too interesting in the thread as it was edited and redacted, the last post is one of oddly satisfying realization.

PLEASE DO NOT EDIT OR DELETE....THIS IS REAL TALK.

I just wanted to go on record...THIS IS A SINCERE APOLOGY AND STATEMENT,i cant stress that enough....

Well as you know im radracer...i wanted to publicly apologize, not because im a "coward" or any of that silly stuff above but because one of your members actually took the time to talk to me and opened my eyes as to WHY?! why do i even bother,i should grow up and not do such lame childish things...but understand when i first joined years ago i was a HUGE drunk and had never been on forums,it was a new realm to me,thats why i epically failed at them lol but after my first ban i saw alot of thing and talk was going on about me...it kind of SPARKED a persona...i felt like butters in southpark, yal would always rip on me and shun me so i decided to adopt the "professor casos" persona
or like lucas barton...but now after having talk with said member i thought to myself long and hard...why? there is no reward other than slander and hatered...so i decided enough is enough and to prove to him i meant it i deleted all my collection videos off youtube AND my computer!
and told him thank you! and that he made me realize its time to grow up and made me think of this quote

"when i was a child,i thought as a child, spoke as a child but when i became a man (for me soon to be father) i put away childish things.

so in closing...i truly am sorry for how stupid i was acting and i will no longer be bothering you guys.

sincerely radracer32
