I thought it might be nice to create a thread to help people find games in order to join our playthroughs. You are welcome to post games that you own here (current and upcoming playthrough titles only) and sell/trade them to other members. Also, I'd like to encourage that we list games and their prices that we might see for sale locally, if you are willing to pick up and ship them to members. If you see any good deals online, feel free to link them on this thread as well. Let's help each other find the playthrough titles we need and increase our participation. Thanks!

Local store has two copies of Symphony of the Night (both GH versions) for $35 each. Happy to pick up and ship if needed. PM me.

Sin & Punishment new for $10 ($5 used) at Gamestop: Looks like several stores around me have it, so it should be a pretty easy find.

Also, I'll try and keep the initial thread updated with local prices so people don't have to scroll down.

I will also look out for copies and would be more than happy to be a shipping monkey for anyone that needs it.

Been hopelessly awaiting a price drop for 7th Guest so this bundle is a must buy for me.

Although it's not a great price, my local GameStop has a copy of Alan Wake that I can get for $13.49+tax if anybody needs a copy for the playthrough.

Digital codes can also be had for pretty cheap on ebay if you want to go that route.

$13 isn't too bad. I bought it when it came out and I felt $60 was a fair entry price.

I thought Alan Wake was in the $5 range for a while at GS, it must have climbed back up recently.

Yeah about $15 used locally at my Gamestop and willing to help out if needed.

There's a copy of Super Metroid loose for $60 locally. Not a great price, but just mentioning in case anyone just wants it.

Found a CIB Super Metroid for $110 locally if anyone is interested. Not sure if that is good or not, but it is there.

Also, I am not sure if anyone already mentioned it, but you can get SotN on the XBLA for 10 bucks in case you haven't got it physically or are still looking for it to join in.

This should be a fairly easy one to find. I checked last week and didn't see one locally. My game store has a big stash in the back, so I will ask to go through their stock and let you know what I find and a price.

My desire for CIB SEGA, had me ending up paying more for this game, than I thought I would.

If I can find a CIB, then mine will be for sale too. Just one of those titles that it's nice to have complete. In saying that though, I'd rather have it loose than not have it at all.

I'll be honest, I'm really excited about December. We are picking some great games. A few classics mixed in with a sort of hidden gem (UN Squadron). Voting for the PSX game is up.

i already have a deal in the works with singlebanana to nab a cart/manual copy, but i would love to get the box as cheap as possible. if it's in good condition (no stickers, big tears/rips, writing, water damage, smoke smell, etc) would you be able to ask if the seller could sell the box separately? i would be willing to pay as much as $50 at the very most for near mint condition, but obviously the cheaper you can get it the better. $30 or less would be nice.

UN Squadron IS NOT a Hidden Gem. It's a well known gem. ;)

I picked up a complete copy earlier this year (or late last year) for $25 so this seems a bit high to me.

Thanks. I know there are a ton on eBay.  I don't have any local options and the stores "closest" to me have slim pickings and are usually way overpriced.

The price of this game kind of fluctuates according to sold listings on eBay. $20 isn't terrible, but not the best. Just trying to offer what I see locally to pass on to people who might need a trusted source to find a game. Everything I will offer on here is actual cost of the game locally.

So what's the deal with Raycrisis? Is it extremely rare? I've been looking at eBay for a week I've only seen 1 copy (and it's kind of expensive for a disc only.) Every other copy is the Japanese version.

They come up, but it's one of the tougher games to find. At around $40, it's not the cheapest..... I won an auction a few days ago for a copy of it, DarkStalkers 3, and RE: Nemesis for around $43. I have the other two games, so my copy will come out pretty cheap after selling those dups. :)

Furthermore, I'm not sure how Fleach is running his competition, but on the retro side, what I am doing is collecting high scores each week and letting participants earn points (10 is the most, 5 the least) for each game determining where they finish. Since there are 4 games, and I doubt everyone will be able to get them all, I will drop everyone's lowest game score. This means that if you don't play one of the games, I will drop the "0" and you will still be in the competition. I'm thinking of doing a similar thing (like we did for SoR and Atari 2600 Activision) with the "Royal Rumble" days where you can improve your score in the last 3 days or so. Let me know if this makes sense and if you have any questions.

I was going to use that method as well. It's the most fair way to go about a competition such as this one.

It makes perfect sense. I like the way the SoR and 2600 competitions were run.

Thank you! I thought they were fair and went very well in the past, so I decided to stick with this formula for the shmup month.

CIB (I believe, it is in the case and I cannot verify manual yet) = $80 + tax

figures a CIB would crop up after i already did the deal for a loose copy...any chance of them selling you just the box if it's in good shape?

Honestly own most of them. I think 999 is the only one I haven't owned. Maybe Raycrisis as well.

If anyone has an extra Mega Man 2 floating around, I'm down.

I know there are probably a few copies local to me, but I fear their prices would be too high. What are you looking to pay for a cart? If I can find it under your price, I'll pick it up. Not looking to make anything off of it, so you'll only pay what I pay for it, plus shipping.

As of now I'm scoping out eBay, but I prefer to get my games here because it's more trustworthy that the cart will be in good condition so I'm willing to pay a few extra bucks (here).

If I try hard enough, I could probably find a copy on eBay for $24 (free shipping) before June, but if you can find one so that I'll pay $30 I'll jump on that.

I think I've misjudged the market. I haven't been scouting eBay lately, but I was into it hardcore about a year ago and I think prices have been going up.

i.e. - I could've gotten Mega Man 2 for $20 last year. Now it looks like it's about $30 (give or take). Truxton CIB could've been had for $40-$50 last year, now it's at least $80.

I posted it in the playthrough thread, but thought I should mention it here as well:  I have a PS2 copy of Indigo Prophecy available if anyone would like to purchase/trade for it to participate in the playthrough.  It is missing the manual, but is otherwise in good shape.

I have a copy for XBox if anyone doesn't have a PS2 or prefers it on that system.

I have a Castlevania: Bloodlines cart if anyone needs one for the upcoming playthrough.  The label has some damage (I will send pics if interested), but it works fine.
