I know there's a thread about 2014's Platinum Rewards in Collection Connection that I kind of hijacked but I figured it would be good to start a new thread here, both for the new year and also because it will be a nice compliment to my Playstation Plus and Games with Gold threads.

I just got 300 coins for registering my sons Xmas stuff.

Yeah I joined in December and registering my whole Wii and 3DS collections put me over 1500. I've grabbed a few things here and there. I'm excited to see what they put out month to month but I have noticed, looking at a history of past offerings, that they tend to swap a lot of the same titles in and out.

I just spent a ton of coins on two reversible 18-pack 3DS storage cases, they came yesterday and were a couple great prizes to get considering I was almost forced to do so because my coins were expiring. I also got my Smash Bros. soundtrack in and that Mewtwo DLC once it is out.

I got two of these as well. It's a must have, since I had a handful of loose DS games and I HATE loose portable carts. I just wish they'd make something similar for GB/GBA.

Looks like they're discontinuing Club Nintendo July 1st. :(
It says they're going to stock up on rewards and add downloads in February, so don't blow your coins just yet.

Over here it will be ending on September 30th.

Well, that was fun while it lasted. For what it's worth they did put up some primo titles for that last batch and pretty cool NES Remix t-shirt (that sold out instantly).

Every release says that they're scrapping the current Club Nintendo reward system and are going to build a different one. What it will be called nobody knows yet, but this doesn't seem to be the end of any sort of rewards system from Nintendo.

Same here. My experience with many of my favorite things is always something where I join in and jump on the bandwagon and then it ends a bit later. Now its Club Nintendo, a decade ago it was Firefly.

Well, I guess I may as well go through my games and register them for their points so that I can do one last Nintendo Club points hurrah.

Are any of you having trouble completing surveys or registering games? I cannot complete any surveys or add any of my new games to get the coins. I hope I can get them all done by the March deadline...

Knowing how easily Nintendo's online services get bogged down, I think the site might be busy with people rushing to register their stuff.

Or in my case, collect all the coins I was saving for next year's platinum membership before February so I actually have coins to spend on the limited stuff. ha ha

Just spent about an hour or so last night pulling all of my unredeemed CN codes out their cases (which only took so long because I had to verify which codes had been redeemed and which hadn't), and will probably start entering those in tonight.  I'm really hoping I can get 1 or 2 of those 'exclusive reward items' that they're supposed to be offering in February, but I'm sure that stuff is going to go fast with everybody trying to dump all of their points, so we'll see.

so is anyone else seeing that site running so slow.  it takes a long time to process points

Finally done adding all my remaining Club Nintendo points. I have 1800 coins to spread around next month :D

considering going into a game store and asking if they mind me taking photos of all their club nintendo codes...i'm on pretty friendly terms with 2 of the local retro stores. currently i only have 40 coins available, with maybe 3 or 4 games left to add.

It's February! Be on the lookout for prizes.

I just hope none of it is too expensive. While I was saving some codes for next year's platinum membership, I spent quite a few coins on other stuff before they announced the discontinuation.

i'm down to only 40 coins, i'm worried that i would just be wasting my codes to give myself more coins as i only have 5 codes to add. giving them to the girlfriend who has around 800 coins, hopefully it'll bump her up to be able to afford something better than i could get.

Club Nintendo went down around 1 a.m. this morning for me while I was trying to enter some questionnaires. Still down and it has been three hours. I wonder if this is the time they bring the exclusives and games. Check it if you haven't just in case.

Awesome. Just got back from an amiibo hunting trip and was joking with the others in line that my luck would cause me to wait in line to miss out on Rosalina and at the same time have me miss out on something on the site. ha ha (I did get a Rosalina though, so my luck was actually good on both fronts.) :)

Have the shown anything for the European or Asian club sites yet as far as exclusives or coin pricing that anyone has seen? I have been looking online for info to stay ahead of the game for the US releases, but no news yet on any sites I go to.

Prizes are up. I chose the Majora Jigsaw puzzle because everything else was just paper or clothing that will wear and tear eventually.

Holy crap they weren't kidding. They have dumped a ton of downloadable titles up for grabs.

I'm honestly tempted by the Majora's Mask Messenger bag, but it's only for the eventual value of it. I already have a nice bag that I like a lot.

I'm actually shocked that the messenger bag and Mario T-shirt (which is also pretty cool looking) haven't sold out yet.

I'm very likely to just blow all my coins on downloads. It'll be fun researching all of them and picking a bunch out. I've heard some of those "3D Classics" are really good.

Glad I was able to get in on this before all the physical goodies were gone.  I got the Majora's Mask puzzle since it looks so awesome.  I should have a bunch of post-play surveys available tomorrow, enough to get me back up to 600 points, but I'll probably blow the rest of my points on downloadable games.

helped my girlfriend snag the messenger bag! took probably a dozen attempts to get through with how slow the site was and how many times it logged her out for no reason. the rest of the prizes looked neat, but nothing really stood out to me as "new". most of them felt like basically what they used to carry a year or two ago, with a few minor changes. a little disappointing honestly, but the bag looked worth it to us so we grabbed that. i don't have nearly enough coins for anything myself.

I queued up a bunch of youtube videos about all the games I didn't know anything about. Hoping to find some hidden gems for my Wii and 3DS.

I stayed up WAY too late last night frantically refreshing to buy what I think will be out of stock first. I have 30 post-play surveys to do and will have to wait on those until the traffic dies down, because I am not about to spend two hours refreshing constantly for 10 more coins.

No offense, but I'm so glad I'm not gunning for some dumb tchotchkes and have plenty of time to decide which downloads I want. For those looking to grab the physical items, I feel for you.

Can anyone tell me what the appeal is for Doc Louis' Punch Out?

I saw people on a GAF thread getting all excited about it and I can't tell if they're being facetious. It's three rounds of the Wii game, just against Doc right? I mean there are 100% walkthrough videos on youtube that are ten minutes long. Am I missing something?

It was an exclusive Prize for Platinum members several years ago. If you missed out back then there was no other way to get it. Probably just excited that its somewhat available now.

The "appeal" is that it's the only way to obtain it - there was no physical release, and it was a very limited digital release.

Missed out on the 2013 year of luigi poster set due to not being diligent enough in completing stuff. Hopefully I can get into the site at some point to where I can collect some coins to spend. I don't want to miss out on anything else. Anyone else still have yet to spend, or is saving and trying to get something larger?

I'm holding off right now because I have a coworker who is going to check his and his kids' games for codes for me and also because I'm still researching all the WiiWare titles they put up trying to find the ones that are worthwhile.

I was gonna say I can't believe none of the physical merchandise has sold out, but I guess that would be hard when it's almost impossible to actually sign in and buy any of it.

i'm surprised too, back when the gold nunchuk was on there it seemed to sell out in a few hours after it was posted, if that. hopefully they're actually still available and it's not some sort of glitch like the site still accepting orders when they've actually sold out in the background.

The site is actually running somewhat smoothly at the moment. I was able to grab my code for Flipnote Studio, as well as registering 4 serials I got from a coworker, putting my coin balance at a whopping 1060! Super-Psyched.

I went ahead and redeemed all of my coins, but forgot that I had an unused Club Nintendo code for Persona Q.  It's pretty much useless to me now, so the first person that PM's me can have it.

Ended up getting two of the Majora's Mask puzzles.  One that I will keep and probably try to get framed, and the other I got for a friend who expressed interest in it when I mentioned the puzzle to him.  He actually gave me all of his Club Nintendo codes since he doesn't really keep up with things like that, and that gave me just enough to get the second puzzle, so it all worked out.

Just cleaned up all my post play surveys and I'm 50 coins short of getting exactly everything I want.  :grrr:

I managed to get a Mario shirt. Probably my last reward....that is until they give a lame-ass download as a platinum reward.

Had a code (not a Club Nintendo code mind you, but an old generic serial number) in an empty case I have for Pokemon Diamond that brought me within ten coins of the total I need. I have now linked my CN account with my eshop account and am downloading Steel Diver: Sub Wars hoping that they still give you ten coins a week later for it. Supposedly this works for Rusty's Real Deal Baseball too but I downloaded that a long time ago so I'm not sure how that works.

I ordered myself the Majora's Mask messenger bag. Figured it'd be something cool to have I can't get anywhere else. Finally got my Smash OST today. Torn on weather to open it or leave it sealed. Ended up with surplus of 85 coins. I considered buying a few codes on eBay to get to 200 for Golden Sun but I might as well just pay the $10 for it, or whatever the cost is.

do codes & points work in all regions or is it eu game codes for eu rewards only? i wouldn't know since we don't have access to club nintendo here in sweden.

I think it's limited to region, since EU has had different offers than NA.

I have received my Smash Soundtrack, and both of the Smash Bros. poster sets I ordered. I haven't gotten my Puzzle, Bag, or my 2015 3DS Game Card case. I missed out on the 2013 Luigi poster set, so if anyone needs a code or two to get up to a prize, I should have a few extra for you. I'm not gonna do any of the digital downloads, I don't think...

I ordered the Zelda 3DS Pouch and the Zelda Puzzle but have not gotten either yet.  My Smash Bros. CD came in a few weeks ago.  I hope they do something good for the final year of Platinum status, last years was disappointing.

Extremely disappointing. If they have a single physical reward, it would be 100x's better than all the digital crap from yesteryear.

So they released the Platinum and Gold prizes.  Highly disappointed...again.  All digital downloads.  Wasted my time last night trying to get on to make Platinum only to get a digital reward.  Physical rewards, Nintendo!  You hear me!?

YES! I love downloadable games. I just wish there were some on the original Wii. Oh well, I'll just have to pick one for the 3DS.

I am disappointed as well. All I want is something that cannot be bought through regular means. Thanks for buying hundreds of dollars in games this year, as a reward, here is something you can buy for 10-20 bucks. I sincerely hope that the new system of rewards better shows appreciation to their supporters.

I agree, I hope the new rewards system shows better appreciation.  At least let us get physical games.  Give us at least 2 picks if your giving out the digital games if you reach Platinum.

The whole reason they are discontinuing the clubnintendo is to use a new rewards system that they believe will be better for customers and for them as well.


I haven't been able to get on in days. Been very hard to get any codes to anyone without knowing which I have already used.

While I know that the rewards system was a nice gesture by Nintendo, It's tough not to get ticked off with the digital rewards.  Especially after getting some really cool exclusive items in the past.  If it started with digital and ended with digital I would't know any better, unfortunately I do!  What sucks the most is I have every game on the platinum list, and all but two on the gold list.

I finally got in. Luckily the shirt wasn't out of stock. Somehow my last attempt to get it didn't go through. Why can't they just print more posters? Oh well, the shirt isn't bad.

Was just able to get on and grab my platinum (Mario Kart 7).

Had a coworker who thought he had platinum, and had offered me his download, which I would have taken New Super Mario Bros 2, but to his surprise he was neither platinum nor even gold, but he had some coins in his account which he let me pick a download, so I got Donkey Kong (Game Boy) for the 3DS. That was still pretty nice of him!

I agree, I want physical rewards but I bet it will be all digital.  I HATE digital!  Let's hope we are wrong.  On another note, they were supposed to go through June 30th to redeem for games but I went on on the 28th and club Nintendo was gone!  Them liars!
