So I am going to be the guy to start this, seeing as how no one seems to have yet.

My collecting goals for 2017 are:

NES: 500 games total (Currently 445)
SNES: 200 games (Currently 177)
Famicom: 50 games (Currently 38)
Super Famicom: 50 games (Currently 23)
TG16: Going to shoot for a total of 50 (Currently 26)
TGCD: 25 games (Currently 17)
PS1: 100 games (Currently 52)
PS2: 150 games (Currently 112)
PS4: 100 games (Currently 124)
SMS: 100 games total (including PAL) (Currently 82)
Sega Genesis: 50 CIB (Currently 49)
Sega 32X: 5 CIB (Zero)
Sega CD: 10 games (Currently 10)
Sega Saturn: 25 games (Currently 15)
Sega Dreamcast: 30 games (Currently 24)

I would like to acquire an Atari Jaguar, as well as a Lynx. I will shoot for a total collection number of 1700, by the end of 2017.

Never got me a Little Samson or Flintstones 2 for NES, in 2016. Those are still on my list for 2017.

I would like to finally get a virtual boy

Expand some of my handheld game boy systems

Also more vita games. (Currently 2)

Track down a cheap copy of Bravely Default.
Make my PS1/PS2 and Saturn region free.
Get 2 more AES games CIB.
Get the rest of the .hack games I'm missing.

Update 1:Didn't mod my systems, just bought a japanese ps1 and japanese saturn.  While it did nothing for my PS2 situation, I'm ok with that because it's not like I have a lot of games for it.

As it's almost half way thru the year, not sure how many more of my short list I'll finish.  Still need 5 more of the .hack games, have no real motive to spend 200 or more on AES games I won't play more then a couple hours, and Bravely is still going for 50+ even used.

Getting in on this again for 2017 (and the last few days of 2016, I suppose). Gonna shoot for some good numbers on my favorite consoles:

- 690 NES games (current - 677...getting a lot tougher to find these)
- 275 N64 games (current - 232)
- 200 Xbox games (current - 149)
- 150 SNES games (current - 113)
- 120 Genesis games (current - 90)
- 80 Dreamcast games (current - 63)

- 2,500 total games (current - 2,208)

I feel like anything I put up here is pointless as it is subjective to the chaos of my life, but I do like to participate when I can.

- Ultima VI and/or VII boxed (or mostly complete)
- New 3DS (get a better 3DS or more game?)
- Delve further into DS and 3DS game selection before prices go even higher (Bravely Default is a great example of this)
- SAGA 2 and 3 DS (I think both have translations)
- Pick up remaining few PS3 games on my list
- Super Retro Trio (?)
- Super Game Boy (?)

lol, same. Not looking to hit any specific numbers. Collecting isn't working like that for me ATM.

-Continue to recoop boxes & manuals MIA from childhood.
-Continue to chip away at higher-end SNES & N64 titles.
-Continue to whittle down Wishlist.
-Maintain quality>quantity.

Nothing big or spectacular.   I want to hit 225 N64 games and take out half of my N64 "Need Cart" list.  

225 games cleared easily.  My secret Santa got me to 226, then I got 4 more including Conker Bad Fur Day to end the year at 230 N64 games!

Didn't Complete some of my goals from last year.

Collect all Atari 5200 games (trying for CIB set) : 9 left to go.
Reach 1500 games

That is all for now.

I'll update this as I think of more, or if I finish these early but here's what I'd like to get done this year:

 - The big one: assess my N64 collection to decide if I want to continue going for a full set, or abandon that and go for only games that I feel are worth playing. Starting to lose interest in the idea of complete sets, and getting extreme enjoyment out of my other consoles having only quality games. The amount I can make in selling off what I wouldn't want anymore should more than cover the cost of the last quality games that I would want to buy.

 - Clean and repair all hardware (consoles, controllers, accessories, etc)
 - add all hardware to my offline & RFG game lists
 - update WTB list prices and add any new releases that came out since i last updated the list
 - CIB copies of Zelda Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons

I have a few goals for 2017

- complete my Magnavox Odyssey 2 (lack 1), Game.com (lack 1), and Vectrex (lack 4) collections

- reach 7,500 games (I need to finish typing in my games (approx 6,500).  Right now, I am about halfway done.)

- seal the basement so that I can put my collection down there (If you have seen pics of my current setup, you know why I need to move them.)  The basement is twice as large so that would definitely help.

Continue to organize unwieldy collection on RFGeneration.com

Thin down collection of extraneous bits (sports games, doubles, etc.)

Get to 500 NES games.  PAL included, Homebrew included, Famicom excluded.

Buy more physical Homebrew games.  NES primarily, but as many as possible.

Centralize and make use of my CRT TVs and PVMs.

I'm thinking of starting collecting games, especially C64 games and maybe magazines. I want my first purchase to be a bit special so sometime this year I will try to get various versions of my favourite game Wizball.

Some of my collecting goals for 2016 are carrying over to 2017(*)

1. Obtain either Little Samson or Flintstones: Dinosaur Peak* Got them both. NES set complete!
2. Obtain 10 more Colecovision titles for 100 total - (3 games away!)
3. Obtain authentic copy of Texas Chainsaw Massacre for 2600*
4. Obtain Phantasy Star IV for Genesis.
5. Obtain Klonoa for PSX.
6. Finish Starpath Supercharger CIB subset (Party Mix - IB, Survival Island - C)
7. Obtain Brazilain CCE Atari 2600 titles: Sea Monster & Robot Attack
8. Obtain remaining "red label" Atari subset titles: Ikari Warriors & Motorodeo,
9. Obtain remaining "blue label" 2600 Activision/iMagic variants: Skiing, Demon Attack, Freeway, Ghostbusters, Keystone Kapers, Space Shuttle
10. Obtain at least 5 more SMS titles to knock remaining set to under 20 remaining games.

I think writing down your goals and being able to check them off as you accomplish them actually kinda helps get them accomplished.
May seem kinda small but am trying to save up for a down payment on a house.

- 30 PSP Titles (13 Currently)
- 200 N64 Titles (174 Currently)
- 100 PS1 Titles (86 Currently)
- 10 PS2 Trade Demos (Only 3 currently)

also find a original map for my incomplete copy of Brigandine, which is likely never to happen.

I think my goal will be to finish off the Xbox 360 library and sell most of my other stuff.

It's kind of nice when you only have one goal for the year and you achieve it early.  Being unemployed for medical reasons doesn't give me much in the way of disposable income, but being that I started the year 8 titles shy of the full NES library, I decided I would try to knock off one of those games.  Not terribly difficult considering one of them was Lethal Weapon, but when I doubled it up and got a Moon Ranger cart as well, it leaves me with 6 games to go, with 5 being reasonably achievable when I get back to work (the Panesians, Myriad, and Cheetahmen II are easily attainable within a couple months of saving).  Only Stadium Events will be a bitch.

The only other goal I have is to get my collection list updated here.  I've slowly been chipping away at it over the last few months, and it's given me a reason to start going through the piles of stuff I haven't looked at in ages and try to get it all organized.  This one may not be done in the forseeable future though...I have a LOT of stuff to go through :P

My goals for this year was simple

1.) Engagement ring for the gf.  ( Accomplished along with giving it to her )
2.) Add 10 more Atari 8 bit carts I didnt own into the collection.
3.) Add the last 6 systems I need for my US console collection.
4.) Work to land the 3 import systems at the top of my list ( Apple Pippin, FM Towns Marty and Sega Teradrive )
5.) Get to 3500 games and 140 consoles with variations.

Only #1 has happened so far.
