It's Secret Santa time again! Here is how it works:

Step 1 Reply to this thread with something like "I'm in" and I will add your name to the list

The cutoff for signing up is Friday, Nov 19th

Step 2 Send an email to rfgensanta@gmail.com The subject line should look EXACTLY like this:

User Name-Your Country-Country or Countries you are willing to ship to

EXAMPLE If I am in the USA and I am willing to ship to the USA and Canada:

Wildbil52-USA- Will Ship to USA, Canada

Copy and paste the text below for the body of your email and fill in the blanks:

Dear Santa
I’ve been a VERY ___________ boy/girl (choose one) this year, so I feel like I have earned all of the __________ that I will probably get for Christmas from all my family and friends.

But I also want video games.

If I could get just one box of video games and/or video game related items with a total combined value of at least $20 before shipping costs, I would hope that the box would have___________ in it.

And I would prefer that it didn’t have any __________ in it.

Since I am a responsible collector, my entire collection has been meticulously entered on rfgeneration.com (OR i is entered at this location: [link to your collection here]) so that you can see what I already have.  You can also check my RFGeneration wishlist to see what I really want more than anything in the whole wide __________.

Please remember to send out my domestic package by December 9th or my international package by December 1st so that I don’t receive my package late and have to resort to _________________ on Christmas morning.

A note on writing your letter

As far as your wishlist goes, Be as specific as you want or as general as you want just remember that the more options you give your Santa, the easier you will be to shop for.  Say things like:

I would like any NES carts not already in my collection

or

I would love to get some spare controllers for NES, SNES, Genesis, or Saturn.

or

I would really like to get any of the following SNES games: x, x, x, x, x, x, x, x, x, x, x, x, etc.

Add as much room as you need, you don't have to say what you would like to get in just a few words.

Step 3
Once your package arrives, or on Christmas morning, post pics of your Secret Santa package here (and in Small Scores if you like)

The MINIMUM value of the items you must send to your Secret Santa is $20. You may give more if you choose, but $20 is the minimum. If you are unsure about what you are sending, give a little more, after all, it’s Christmas!

Due to a VERY small number of scams in years past, The RFGen Secret Santa 2021 is available to established RFGen members OR to anyone who has an established member vouch for them.  If you are unsure if you are an established member, shoot me a PM.

Dang, you guys are opening your gifts early.  You are very welcome.  You had so many games from many different systems, it was information overload.  I didn't know what to get you.  I hope you enjoy them!

Haha, yeah, I don't really have anything specific that I'm looking for these days so I just throw anything that sounds interesting in my wishlist and let the secret santa take their pick. It's always fun every year because I have no real expectations, so it's always a big surprise. These games were something I don't think I would have ever expected to see, so it was really cool to get these. Really awesome gift, thanks a lot!

I checked the tracking yesterday and partner's package should arrive on the 22nd assuming all goes well.

Imagine my surprise when I opened my mail and found a box from Limited Run!  Wait a minute, I thought, I'm not expecting any Limited Run orders until at least 2027, so what is this mystery?
Bwa-ha! After checking the label, I recognized the witness protection name for our own Crabmaster 2000!

First off, we have a delicious holiday staple belonging under every tree and inside every stocking, for those of us who strangely dangle footwear precariously near open flames.  Anyway, can't go wrong here.

Next we have a classic troll by Mr. Crabmaster.  With a name like that, even in this economy one would assume the ability to secure a nice selection of seafood, but here we have... cat food.  Or as my Beloved likes to call it, a fine sandwich ingredient.  It will be used and appreciated regardless. 
-Footnote- Do NOT combine these ingredients into a holiday casserole.  Turns out there are worse foods than fruitcake and figgy pudding.  Onward!

Here we have the first of two included games.  To complete Mr. Crabmaster2000's epic troll on my account, we must discuss a little history; it is a little known fact that many, many years ago Crabby and I exchanged several emails where we discussed my Christian faith and his... er, not.  Now these many years later I see Crabby has taken advantage of our Secret Santa program to give me a little poke.  While it would go unnoticed to others, I am of course reminded of the War On Christmas and how heathens commonly replace "Christ" with an "X" in the word Christmas, spelling it XMas, in the obvious pursuit of taking Christ out of Christmas, and not at all because it is shorter and easier to display, based off the Greek letter 'Chi' as a known shorthand for Christ, or that the form of this abbreviation has been used by Christians for centuries.  Nope, pretty sure it is the 'take Christ out' thing. 

Anyway, I see the sleight of hand Crabby is doing here, because as you can see, he is attempting to take the Christ out of... em, Christ-enoblade!  Nice try, Crabmaster, but I will be appreciating your kind gift of Xenobla- er, I mean, Christ-enoblade the way it was surely enjoyed two thousand years ago.

Finally, all of Crabmaster's ribbing is forgiven, for he has sent what we all know at RFGeneration as the holy grail of NES collecting; the one, the only... I... I can't even say the name, for fear some algorithm will pick up the title and I will risk alerting the collecting community I am now in possession of such a valuable item, risking someone may begin a plot to break in and snatch this priceless treasure.

Naturally I will be contacting the  proper grading organizations and securing a vacuum-sealed EMP-resistant vault in which to preserve this precious pinnacle of electronic entertainment.  In thousands of years, intrepid archaeologists will undoubtedly reach the earth high and low for the chance to open a treasure-chest containing this masterpiece.

Do not fret for me, fellow gamers.  For while it is best that I preserve this grandest of gifts, many years ago another RFGener going by the moniker Jerry Greenwood must have once been told of this greatness, and he created a brilliant piece of art (undoubtedly from the descriptions and stories of this magnificent artifact.)  Whenever I wish to be reminded of Crabmaster's great sacrifice, I shall gaze longingly at this generous visage Mr Greenwood replicated, and I will be reminded of the gift I have steeled away for future generations.

Opens NHL 17. "Sweet NHL 97!". I wonder which game Bil secretly really was hoping for ;). Those looks in great shape though and it was really cool to see them put Anakin from Revenge of the Sith on the cover of a hockey game. Neat cross promotion.

Thanks so much and Merry Christmas to Disposed Hero!! Not only has he been serenading me all year with wicked covers from some of my favorite games, but he got me a present as well! What a guy. I asked for Spider-Man games I didn't have or cool Wii and PS2 games and he hooked me up with all 3!! I've actually played, beat and enjoyed Spider-Man vs Kingpin on the SEGA CD before, but somehow it disappeared from my collection over the years. I probably sold it to someone in my store years ago and kind of regretted it so I'm very happy it has returned home after all this time. Basically the exact same story with Donkey Kong Country Returns. Played it, loved it so happy to have copy again and it's probably something I could get my daughter to play with me soon. I've actually toyed with the idea of getting all the Bond games in the past, and I've got a fair amount, but somehow in my 1000+ PS2 games I havn't snagged a copy of From Russia with Love yet, and I don't actually know a whole lot about it so I'm eager to learn if it's one of the decent ones or a a mess. Either way it'll be fun.
