Title: Zelderex
Post by: Izret101 on April 15, 2006, 07:01:10 AM
ZELDEREX HELP/FAQ
1. Sign up as my employee because i will get bonus money and i will split 50/50 with you. After all it will be because of your work.
EDIT
I don't think i will be able to transfer money since i don't have a gold account. When i get my first bonus i will spend the 5$s to get a month long gold account and keep my end of the bargain.
2. Build a Hero Altar, mobile Lab, oil facility. These are MUSTS. Anything else is icing on the cake right now.
2. a. Not necessary yet but... click Prefs. Then Edit Profile. Scroll down just below the time and daylight savings options and activate Normal mode. Everyone starts in Noob mode. And yes it did add alot of options to your side bar ;)
3. Convert 100$s to 1000 credits buy a X-5 Blaster
4. Click on the Players link. Attack the hell out of anyone with more than 900$s. If they have below 900$s do not waste fuel. You are immune for your first 24 hours of game play so it is well worth it to harvest cash.
5. Upgrade expensive things now! (Hero Altar, Oil Facility, Blacksmith, Fortification, )It will be hard to get large sums of cash and hold onto them long enough later in the game. If you have a blacksmith be warned upgrading this can boost your rank considerably.
6 Any other questions ask me :)

MSN - izret101@    comcast.net(spaces added for protection reasons)
YIM - izret369
PM's here or on Zelderex will also work but it is less effective than "real time" talking.

Original Post
Fell asleep after solidly maintainging my start to Zelderex.
Woke up spent the money i acrewed over night.
Used the oil for attacking.
Now i am waiting to get my money and oil every 20 mins so i can max out my Merchants.
I have 44/120 right now
They are 200 a piece.

This game is pretty addictive and alot of fun.
It would be cool if some people could join up from here.
Using user number in my sig would be pretty sweet too. I would share the ingame bonuses i got with whoever did so.
Which is 10k$s after you get X amount of wins and have X amount of days as a member.

I am in a clan now with alot of people who are top players.
But thats only because i use to play with them before i took my break from the game.

I could probably get people into the clan ;)
If enough people from here joined we could even drop this clan and start an RFGen clan :)

The sell themselves as an online strategy game.
It is free alot of fun and very addivtive.
Plus you get a 5k bonus later if you join unedr me :)

And thanks to Phoenix i now have Yahoo Instant Messenger so i can be reached on AIM, MSN, YIM and thru PMs here or on Zelderex for help.

I don't know if I'm doing this right, but I've amassed about 500 or more total archers/pikemen/footsoldiers, maxxed out my oil workers, upgraded the oil facility to level 4, have about 60 merchants, bought a blacksmith and 3 weapons (1 for each of my 3 heroes), upgraded my training facility, upgraded my camp to a village, etc. I've even maxxed out the first 2 economy research options (stock and something else), and am going for level 2 in fuel sellback. I'm at about $250 and 77 fuel left.

Seems I've either overextended myself, or I'm off to a good start. We'll see when people start retaliating against me in a few hours...

Title: Re: Zelderex
Post by: Izret101 on April 16, 2006, 06:30:04 AM
Make sure you move all 3 of your men to defense when your not attacking and have money people are going to come after(over 900 again seems to be the golden number ;))
It will cost 50 per Hero so 150 total.

If you don't have a Hero on defense your guys won't defend.

You 150-200 levels behind me i think and it sounds like your doing just as good if not better.

Personally i wouldn't have worried about the fuel sellback unless you plan on being a more defensive player.
But it is good to have that as a fall back option.

Title: Re: Zelderex
Post by: phoenix1967 on April 16, 2006, 07:39:25 AM
I have all my heroes armed, with 2 on defense.

2 questions: 1. Does the blacksmith only equip heroes? 2. Any chance I can get into your clan? I'm starting to receive clan invites, but want to stay with the RFG group.

I also found a couple of interesting wrinkles. One guy was low on troops and had over $900 so I wanted to invade, but he was on an ISLAND! So, because I didn't have a vehicle capable of taking my troops over I couldn't attack.

Another thing is that, it seems to me that at this point, having your oil manufacturing maxxed out will provide a well-needed source of income if you cannot attack right away. I decided to research oil up to level 3 in order to be able to sell product at $4 per fuel.

Lastly, I came across my first contested battle. I ended up winning, but my hero took a few points of damage (good thing I have a clinic) because the opposing hero had a higher classed weapon. My guess is he upgraded blacksmith early. My attack did damage to his hero altar but didn't destroy it. That inspired me to hire on 1 engineer.

Post by: Izret101 on April 16, 2006, 12:25:50 PM
1. A blacksmith's weapons will only equip you heros. Your other men come with weapons.
2. I will ask the guy when he signs on. If he is apposed to your joining(i don't see why he would be) I can just break out of this clan and form my own. If that were to happen i would end up just allying with the clan and its members.

Is this game all stats and figures or is there more to it?  Cause I'll join if there's more to it than just numbers, but I'd probably get bored otherwise.

But it is like a text based stratergy game...

Do it! I know that I still don't have a clan so I'll definitely contribute. As of this post I'm at 2155. Battles are definitely getting more complex...gotta get the experience of my heroes up. I'm glad I invested to much in my oil refinery at the outset.

Like I said, I don't know what I'm doing, but here's what I have:

Mobile Lab
Training Facility
Fuel Warehouse
Oil Facility
Bank
Hero Altar

3 Oil Workers
16 Merchants
1 Hero

I've researched:

Stock Rise - Max
Payout - Max

@ Phoenix I have  one at 48  one at 35  one at 11
Yup only 3 only far... i plan on picking up my last 2 by the end of today.

@ Ken your going to want to work on upgrading your oil facility and other expensive items right now.
Make sure that you always have as many heroes as you can aswell. And when your not going to play for awhile put your heros on defense ($50 a piece) otherwise no matter how many troops you have on defense that will not stop an attack.
With out a hero you cannot attack or defend.

As for my other stats
I have a Village
Mobile Lab lvl 3
Blacksmith lvl 2
Training Center lvl 1
Bank
Oil Facility lvl 7
Hero Altar lvl 5

I have researched
Offensive Battle Advisor(if you have money to waste go for it. Pretty much you can figure it out on your own.)
Stock Rise - maxed
Payout - maxed
Fuel Demand - lvl1

Oil Workers - Maxed 20 out of 20 (@ 750$s a piece i finished this on day 2 though)
Mechants - 81 out of 120 (@ 200$ a piece guess where i have been wasting my money?)

If you want your guys to get some experience attack finyno11.
You won't get money but you will get EXP.

He might out of you range right now though.
I think he will get boosted up even furtheer at the next ranking.

He got all my money from me.(right before i got my next hero) I attacked back in hopes that he had no defense while he was attacking.
Then he taunted me calling my a noob and if i attacked him again he would destroy me.
So of course i had to attack him 2 more times right away.
And then let him know as long as i could attack him i would harvest him for experience.
I wrote his name down on my monitor too.
So it is SOO on. lol

I love this game :)

BTW my stats have already changed since my last post
lol

Buy an X-5 blaster vehicle and start attacking everyone you can. You're going to want to also have a 2nd hero to defend your camp while you're other hero is out raiding. The X-5 is all you need to get started and ramp up quickly; you should get $900 per raid in the early game because few people have a hero back on defense.

Not exactly. There's over 3000 players in the game right now. Attacks are technically 1 to 1, but there's clan support available. We're trying to get an RFG clan up there to see how the latter stages will work.

After you're initially ranked (when you're 24 hour immunity expires), you can only attack someone 100 ranks below you or 80 ranks above you. It keeps the game more balanced.

Oh OK . I just meant do you attack a computer opponent.  PvP stuff opens the door to to much cheating.

No cheating in this game. It's really a simple game to pick up. And a very straightforward program (6th iteration). It seems to me that they've cleaned up any bugs they may have had...

Title: Re: Zelderex
Post by: Izret101 on April 18, 2006, 03:52:48 PM
Yea this game is pretty impossible to cheat in.
Since it is browser based and the whole site is java(or flash?).
The closest thing to cheating has been a single clan(The Apostles) dominating the top 10 and much of the front page at one point. There are generally 2-4 big clans that fight back and forth on the few pages.
The second closest thing was ALOT of people got pissed off at a guy who joined payed for a gold account and then payed for a bunch of ingame money. They were pissed because he "ruined the game". When i pointed out he allso essentially payed for a few month of server time people seemed to chill out about it.

They are fix any kind of bug or mistake that comes up VERY quickly.
And if it effects a persons money there is a spot were you can withdraw it to recoup your loss.

I was asked my buddy and he said i could invite you all.
They are a more serious and competitive clan.
As for the RFGen clan lets just see how my buddies clan works out for us.
If other members are taking it too seriously (which has not happened in the past) i will break off for sure.

During round 3 or 4 i was helping essentially the same group of people organize bomb strikes against The Apostles with the help of the 2 other major clans.
This was to the minute percision across a few time zones so that the bombs would go off in certain guys bases at certain intervals.(One guy people even had a members online activity figured out for the perfect plant time)

And to top off the long winded and probably mostly unnecesasary post,
if you need some help don't hesitate to ask Ken.
I am on AIM, MSN, and also YIM(thanks to phoenix).

Added a little help/faq section to the first post.
Probably should have done it earlier.
It would have helped some of you out more
My bad :-/

It would be really cool to see more people get into it :)
Interacting with more members from the site is cool.
Also i should have sent out clan invites to everyone who has signed up below me already.
Except scoops.
Since he has a clan. If you want in with the rest of us scoops just get ahold of me :)

3 Heroes

Barracks lvl 1
Blacksmith lvl 1
Oil Facility lvl 2
Training Center lvl 1
Mobile Lab lvl 1
Hero Altar lvl 2

I also upgraded to a Village.

Get money to upgrade to a lvl 3 Oil Facility? (Costs $9000)

I upgraded my fuel warehouse to level 3 and maxxed out fuel research.  Now I can sell fuel at $5/unit. Hero exp has been hard to come by, mine are now at 9,9,8,6 and 2.

Another 24 hours and here is where i stand
Hero at 108
Hero at 96
Hero at 76
Hero at 55
Hero at 5
Hero at 3

I have a Palace(had a village less than an hour ago :D)
Mobile Lab lvl 4(maxed)
Blacksmith lvl 3
Training Center lvl 2(maxed)
Bank(maxed)
Oil Facility lvl 7(maxed)
Fuel Warehouse lvl 2
Hero Altar lvl 5
Barracks  lvl2(by the time i get back from the ortho)
Clinic(maxed)

Researched:
Offensive Battle Advisor - (maxed)
Stock Rise - lvl2 (maxed)
Payout - (maxed)
Fuel Demand - lvl1(still)

Upgrading my Village cost me something like 9 grand to go up the two times today. I probably could have done some more effective building upgrades...
But at least this boosts defense

Title: Re: Zelderex

would you recommend gettting the next oil facility upgrade ($12K) or upgrate my fortification to a palace ($9K) first?

Post by: Izret101 on April 20, 2006, 11:24:49 AM
If you can get the money fast enough definately the oil facility.
If you think it will take too long or think you might get hit just upgrade to a Palace

Title: Re: Zelderex
Post by: phoenix1967 on April 20, 2006, 04:54:20 PM
Getting the money to do a significant upgrade is getting tougher and tougher. During the day, I can't access my game at work, so I'm getting sniped (although I'm getting experience). And when I get home there's always a few players within range of me that could snipe me and take my $$$ when I'm attacking someone else!

Title: Re: Zelderex
Post by: Izret101 on April 20, 2006, 05:30:52 PM
Since i have been out of school since i started back up i have been lucky.
I check it many times a day and see how many players are online within atack range of me.
When i am going to sleep i move all my guys on defense.

Also something i usually didn't bother to do before i am doing now.
Using agents to see a possible targets # of heroes and such.
I got lucky today though and i hit a guy for roughly 10k when he was still attacking people.
I left him with around 2.5k

edit:
Oh yea my buddy finyno11 quit the game. Sometime in the last 24hours.
Though he could have started a new account.
I must not have been the only person he was getting hit by daily.

Post by: Izret101 on April 20, 2006, 06:28:49 PM
Seeing as everyone is having trouble with money too.
I use to do this before and just thought about it now.

Your free 1,000$/200 gallons were just reactivated approx 30 mins ago(10PM central).
Don't withdraw this until a few minutes before 10PM tomorrow.

That way you will get 1,000$s and 200 gallons back to back.
If you have 1k in the bank and sell your fuel before you get your 400 gallons that should come out to at least 4k that you can make and dispose of in 1-2 minutes tops.

Title: Re: Zelderex
Post by: phoenix1967 on April 20, 2006, 07:34:09 PM
Been doing that already. But my daily ration comes in at noon. And I make sure that I bank $1K before I go to work in the morning.

Fuel is becoming increasingly important in the middle game!

I have 2 agents.  I really haven't used them much though.  I only have hacker level 1 and firewall level 2.  Right now, all I'm doing is buying merchants to max them out.  I need 25 more to max them.

I still haven't upgraded my firewall yet. I need another 20 merchants to max out. I've been focusing on building up my armies on both O and D.

I did try using an agent on Offense, and it did provide me really good info. Since you can send them in on the X-5 blaster for only 7 gallons of fuel, you could save yourself the fuel that you would've used in the attack if the intel that he provides would've ended up in a losing battle for you.

At this stage of the game, I'm thinking about sending in an agent more regularly.

Pheonix.....You can send an agent on foot for only 4 fuel.

I also need 20 merchants now.  Then I'm going to do exactly what you're doing.  Beef up high on O and D men.

Agents getting caught is good and bad.
Then gain EXP so they are more effective later.

I just bought the last of the buildings this morning i lucked out and was able to hit Grabarz for like 5k total.
Hit got 3,600 from me less than 20 seconds before i signed on.

I don't use agents too much. I have started doing base sweeps semiregularly since i found 3 cameras in my base. That was after i got clusterbombed >:(

Oh yea i suggest you guys don't invest on Vehicle Expansion until you have way more units. It doesn't allow for more Hero space in vehicles. Only the other units. Which is useless for me right now.

Something i should note to you guys.
Us listing our stats here is gtreat fodder for anyone on ZX who happens to click our Clanpage link hahaha
All the info they would need to decide on an attack ;)

Here are my current stats:

My younger bro.
He played for awhile way back as an employe of mine too.

Unfortunately i couldn't get him as an employee because one of your employees can't sign up on the same IP as one you have used.

And i couldn't get ahold of either of you guys to get your Employer ID either.
So his account is useless
LOL

EDIT
BTW you guys have to make sure to pay your Clan Aid.
It is way cheaper for some reason than it was in the other clan.
Or so it seems...

EDIT 2
I thought i would add that i got bombed 3 more times.
I would assume by Grabarz.
Don't piss of rich people. LOL

I am probably ranked higher than i should be. The ranks arn't always right ;)
Whatever though. I am still moving up and now i am taking a more laid back only attack people who are online with alot of money and spend it quick take on the game.

In the mean time i am training up a more ubermassive army like you guys and upgrading "cheap" stuff.

Title: Re: Zelderex
Post by: phoenix1967 on April 24, 2006, 07:53:14 AM
Yeah. The uber-massive army seems to be more prevalent at this stage. I'm working at that moreso on the 'D'.

I think that if I don't get "hit" today, I'll upgrade my hero altar. Lately, my spy has been noticing people with 7 or 8 heroes.

Going up against maces is starting to piss me off...

Is there any way to heal an agent outside of $$$? It seems that they don't tick-heal like heroes do...

Playing as defensive as possible:
I did this today.
Got 800 gallons.
Sold it for 5$s per gallon
$4000 total.
Had approx 2k from ticks today.
Plus 1k in the bank.
grand total approx 7 grand

Now i have
180$
+ 120 gallons
+ tick money & tick oil
+ 1000$s and 200 galons to withdrawl tonight

Title: Re: Zelderex
Post by: phoenix1967 on April 24, 2006, 12:35:01 PM
I was reading their forums the other day, and the consensus was to never sell fuel...but they didn't explain why not...

Title: Re: Zelderex
Post by: Izret101 on April 24, 2006, 01:47:38 PM
2 reasons.
It detracts alot of fun and strategy from the game.
and
You make a TON less money that way.
18 gallons of fuel makes me 90$s selling it
or possibly 3,600+ if i attack with it(using one of the airplanes i don't remember what it is called)

Title: Re: Zelderex
Post by: phoenix1967 on April 24, 2006, 03:51:14 PM
Thunderhawk.

That makes sense, but if you lose the battle, the fuel is gone...often with a lot of troops that you will have to replace.

Hey, here's a tidbit. I used an agent in a successful attack on a player with ??? in $. The agent gave me the exact $ that the player had. In other words, agents can get around firewall protection. I'm guessing it's because the guy didn't have a guard forge, though.

Iz, what have you put into your guard forge & firewall? My f-wall is at level 5 or 6 & I put a lot into cameras & motion sensors via the data center. Last night I was attacked by an agent that didn't get through, but haven't had a military attack on me in a couple of days (knock on wood)

Title: Re: Zelderex
Post by: Izret101 on April 27, 2006, 07:51:27 AM
That was the second time i have been attacked in 3 or so days.
The other one was not successful.

My Gaurd Forge is level 3.
10 gaurd dogs
10 motion detectors
now working on 10 security cams.

I upgraded my data center but haven't really bothered with upgrading hacker or firewall levels.
I always use to assume if the person has a firewall they have money to hide.
lol
I will probably start working on that since i have money to burn.(kinda...)

I haven't bothered with my bomb factory either yet.

The only building i don't have is the Temple.
I shouldn't have bothered buying a bunch of the buildings i did or upgrading them either.

EDIT
I shoul add i never really liked bombs.
They can be found with a base sweep. Which can be expensive if you have a high blacksmith.

But they can be devestating if your really pissed at someone.

My ongoing project has been to see if I can get 9K built up without the risk of getting sniped so I can upgrade my fortress to a palace. There always seems to be someone online "waiting in the weeds"...

Title: Re: Zelderex
Post by: Izret101 on April 27, 2006, 12:19:48 PM
I can store 800 gallons.
Thats 4k right there.
+2000 daily withdrawl
+1000 bank

Means i only need to have 2k visible to pull that off.
Even less if i can be patient and let oil bbuild up to convert later.
And wait to withdraw...

Title: Re: Zelderex
Post by: phoenix1967 on April 27, 2006, 12:39:10 PM
For the $2000 daily withdrawl, I take it that  you are counting selling off the 200 gallons @ $5 each?

I guess it's just a matter of not attacking...I just have to be patient.

Caught a break today with enough tick income, daily allocation, bank, and oil sales to be able to upgrade to a Palace!

Lately, I'm almost always sending in an agent before going in on the attack. If the situation is favorable, I go for it. If he gets caught and injured...experience! For 4 gal.($20), it's been a good investment.

I was hitting soem of there members before anyways.

For starters what other clans are in this effort? And is there alliances between clans?

Also i will have to check it over with my guys

thats fair.. as for alliances , nothing formal... informally if someone in the loose alliance needs help i will do what i can to provide it..I am still talking with other clan leaders , but i can't guarntee anyones support other than mine and the members of the mooglet hunters. Talk it over , and if you want to  add you clan to the effort that would be great.. if not thats good too. Best of luck regardless

Hmmm interesting. I have no objections to getting involved so long as we know what the plan is...

I just upgraded my blacksmith! I can finally buy axes now. I can't believe that there are still players that don't move their heroes back to defense at this level! I pimped a guy for $5400.

After a few days the value drops back to 2k instead
My bonus just bought me a Blacksmith upgrade.

How about you take the $10k and upgrade something for yourself.  It's cool man.  No need to sink money into this game if you can help it.  I don't need the $5 that badly to make you pay $5.

Good job.

"Attack only once"? Huh? I mean, if you don't do it, someone else will right?

That 4K bonus helped me to upgrade my oil facility to level 5, finally!

More and more building damage is starting to hit, so I've been investing in engineers. I'm at 5 now.

$2,700 on my Blacksmith Weapons (Maces)

How do you guys generate cash?  I've already taken advantage of the Bonuses and here's what I've gotten after about a day of trying to figure this out:

1 Hero
80 Archers
40 Pikemen
100 Footmen
1 Agent
16 Merchants
1 Engineer

1 Mobile Lab (Level 2)
1 Blacksmith (Level 1)

And I'm a "Village."

I also have 1 X-5 Blaster

Needin' some cash, 'cause I'm a spending freak.

Title: Re: Zelderex

Attack! Attack! Attack! Most people don't have a hero on Defense in the early going, so you can rake up the $$$ quickly. Be sure to upgrade your hero altar so you can get that 2nd hero to protect your $$$.

If you haven't done them already, there are also a couple of Researches to help you out. Stock and the one below it (don't remember the name). Invest in that and you'll up your daily income from $800 to $1K.

And welcome to the game! This is a good time to get in because the game is going to reset on June 1, so playing for awhile now should give you some good ideas/strategies of what works & what doesn't.

BTW, don't worry about upgrading your blacksmith or fortification. It's going to rank you up and you may not have as easy of a time getting $$$ in the future.

You need to do as much damage in the early going as possible.  Keep attacking, as long as you have fuel and you'll do great.  Remember, Oil Facility and Hero Altar.

Yes. Your hero altar should be fine for awhile. Build up that Oil Facility as high as you can. The later you get into the game, the harder it gets to upgrade.

And yes. The bank and siege will be important as well. Siege is a gradual thing, though. Level 1 and a couple of rock throwers will be okay for you for awhile.

And the game does get tougher...I promise you that!

If you feel you have the extra $$$ to spend and you don't want your $ known, you can upgrade your firewall in the data center. If their hacker level is higher, though, they will still be able to see it. Also, if they have an agent get through, they will be able to identify your money.

Title: Re: Zelderex

I'm loosing more battles than I'm winning, but not by much.  I added another offensive hero, but when I do battles, I get the message that my heroes don't have enough leadership skills.  Is there any way to fix that, or does that just come with experience?  Oh, and I'm now ranked 1963, even though I feel like I'm getting my butt kicked on alot of these battles.

Title: Re: Zelderex
Post by: Izret101 on May 05, 2006, 07:49:16 AM
I was absolutely for moving troops to offense and defense.

I wish i saw that second poll i voted on....

I am 100% pro troop movement because my strength rating is was 500 when my rank was more than 2x that :)
So that would mean having more troops would have more effect on your rank.

Title: Re: Zelderex
Post by: phoenix1967 on May 05, 2006, 08:30:19 AM
My thought is that it would make the game too defense-based and discourage attacking.

For example, if I know I'm not going to be online, I'll keep all my troops and heroes on D, right? Well, in order for someone to be able to mount a successful attack on me, they're going to have to bring everything they've got as well (considering the hero#s are equal) in order to have any opportunity to get any $$$ from me.

Then, if that becomes the way the game plays, the next strategy would be to cripple buildings with bombs. Again, everyone would build up guard forges and pump tick income into that.

If you don't have the ability to shift troops from O to D and back, you have to manage your resources much more efficiently. Which is what makes the strategy element of this game so much fun.

If they made you have to pay for troop movements like you pay for hero movements, then that could be a good way of keeping the strategic element, though. Like $1 per archer/pikeman/footman?

Title: Re: Zelderex
Post by: Izret101 on May 06, 2006, 04:29:48 AM
You would have to pay for it.
I can't think of anyway that would work besides paying.

They don't let you do anything for free in the game.
lol

Oh yea after letting my money acrew all night i bought 450 footmen.

Title: Re: Zelderex
Post by: Pop Culture Portal on May 06, 2006, 04:35:56 AM
I can't let my money acrue at all.  In fact, I keep getting attacked relentlessly!  Something that's pissing me off a bit...at 6pm every night, I click on the button to withdraw my investments (fuel/money).  When I click on the button, my computer sits for several seconds, and then pops back up to my Main Office page, and someone has attacked me and taken all my investment money AND what little money I DID have.  My money then sits at $0.  This has happened twice in a row.  It's as if they're waiting to take it from me.  I can't get anything built up.  Plus, overnight, I had apparently acrude over $2,000, which is now all gone thanks to several attacks launched on me overnight.  Augh!  This game is frustrating! >:(

Title: Re: Zelderex
Post by: phoenix1967 on May 06, 2006, 06:30:17 AM
PCP, are you keeping heroes on defense? You have to pay $50 per hero, but it's worth it to protect your $$$. Also, you may want to use an agent to do a 'sweep'; someone may have put a camera in your main office to identify when you are online or not. Lastly, if you have a data center, you may want to build up your firewall so people don't know how much money you have. And be sure to stash $1K in your bank.

Just suggestions.

To move your heroes, you have to go to the Units section in the left margin. When it opens up, check mark the heroes that you want and then select the button "Move to Defense ($50 each)"; then submit and your heroes will then be on defense. To move them back to Offense, you'll have to go through the same steps.

Man! It's getting tougher and tougher to find someone worth attacking! Everyone seems to be turtling and just accumulating defensive troops...you guys seeing the same thing? Another thing I am noticing though is that almost no one that I've been attacking has spy defense.

Because of all this defense-building, I'm focusing on maximizing my offense!

I'm seeing alot of people with MASSIVE offensive troops (4000+), but no heroes...so, I march in, they run, and I take all their money.  |D Of course that's after I send in an agent to scope things out first.  Yeah, alot of Defensive stuff going on and zero on spy defense.  It seems like once I built a Data Center and focused a little more on agents, things have gotten much, much better.

By the way, I have around 350-400 troops when I "invade" these 4000+ troop camps.  That's got to be humiliating when they all run and I take their money!

Hey guys, how are your heroes and agents looking as far as experience? I think mine are a little low.
H: 167, 166, 154, 137, 108, 72, 54, 49, 11, 2
A: 153, 22, 2

Lately, I've been starting to pick fights I might lose just so I can get my xp up.

I bought my 3rd ThunderHawk.....If I can get another $12,000....I can have 10 heroes attack, and I think I'll be better off, even though it'll take 56 fuel per attack.

All I can afford right now are watchdogs and very minor upgrades...all of which seems to be helping amazingly enough!

Haha   Strike that....Just upgraded to Hero Altar 9 and got my 10th hero after another round of attacking.  Having 3 Thunderhawks is really helping I think.  Not many people and defend 10 Heroes and 3000 troops.

Hero Altar level 10 now.
If i didn't waste my efforts attacking i would have gotten it in faster than however long it has taken me...

Still sitting at level 9.

I think I figured something out regarding rankings. I had a couple of successful attacks recently and had heroes gain experience. I beefed up my D because I got pimped 2x today. This last ranking at 7PM, I dropped 10 ranks from 860 to 870. I'm theorizing that the more troops you have on D in proportion to the total troops, the game will rank you down for it. To further support this, for awhile I was just building up on O and not attacking or doing anything else, and it ranked me up.

Could be something to this...?

Been upgrading my barracks a lot lately (level 6 now). Still having a hard time coming up with the $13500 needed for the next hero altar upgrade. I've been getting attacked a lot more during the day lately. Maybe I need to upgrade my firewall (currently lev 6) first.

Finally got to upgrade my hero altar!

And I had a couple of bomb attacks succeed! Very satisfying. No risk of retaliation unless they have clan members near my rank. Heh heh.

When you send bombs they don't know it was you unless you expressly tell the person you sent them.

Bombs leave no info about the sender.

That's great! And that's the way it should be because it's a spy attack. Revenge is sweet!

End of the round.

Mez and I finished in the top 400/450 out of over 3500 players. Not bad for a first try a month into the round.

Learned a few things. Definitely have to build up that hero altar and blacksmith lot sooner than I thought. And the fortification upgrades seemed pretty useless in retrospect.

Fun stuff.

@ Izret, thanks for the recommendation.

Just out of curiousity, I logged on for round 7, and they've added a TON of new stuff to the game! The research page has just EXPLODED with new things to add to economy, battle, etc.

I told myself I would sit out this round as well, but I'm drawn back in...here we go.

Not again.
More new stuff.
Gimme your employer ID and i will sign up under you.

I will try to be more active this time around.
No promises though. I haven't been able to really get into games lately.

Well playing them anyways.
I am in more of a collecting phase again.

Actually, I messed up. I upgraded the blacksmith too soon and it didn't give me the "are you sure?" message, so I deleted my account. I'll get back on in 10 minutes and will send you a message.

All right. I'm back in. I did all my attacking to get to a Level 5 Oil Facility and 10 Oil Workers, and level 1 Hero altar with a 2nd hero to stay on 'D'.
