But I think it'll probably get a price drop soon enough, down to $200.

I would speculate that they will probably cut the price in the near future, but if there are no new handhelds being marketed by other companies anytime soon, why should they? ;)

Its not a bad machine but nothing more than a PS2 with a screen , which is nice but nothing that special. As for price cut well they probably wont have one here but i dont care as i got mine for free when i changed my phone contract.
