The scary part is I almost went there.  And I would most certainly have been in that building at that time had I chosen to go there.

He must have been freaking locked and loaded and or be a crack shot to have taken down so many people.

I only caught a tidbit while i was taking rediculous computer courses for my new job.
It was pretty much the same things over and over. But the test are all timed. So when finishing early you just hve to keep clicking back and forth so that the timer runs up to the exceptable minimum time.

Most definately the most effective way to make someone learn something.

This is horrible, sad, tragic. Imagine if it happened at your school. What if someone pulled a gun out at Cary Quad and then subsequently went on a shooting rampage in the Electrical Engineering Building. How about if it was Calhoun Hall followed by Baldwin Hall? It certainly strikes a nerve, this incomprehensible act. Perhaps it is because he chose to kill engineering students, I don't know, but this is truly a horrible event and I pray for the family and friends of everyone injured or dead, in addition to those injured.

This sucks, I hope they dont blame games.

That's sad and somewhat shocking. I think I heard this is the ninteenth school shooting in ten years. I'm amazed at how one person could kill so many people in this way. Were they all spaced out or were they in a busy classroom or what?

It's nice to think we'd be heroic when it happens, but in reality we'll probably freeze then get shot and die in a puddle of bodily fluids.

This is truly  tragic  but am I surprised? Not at all and that's sad.

No, only two killings happened in the dorm, the other 30 happened in the engineering building from what I've read. Certainly not really spread out.

Some people on Fark are saying that in South Korea you are required to serve two years in the military, which would explain his marksmanship.  I don't know, and havn't been able to find, if he actually served or if he came to the US to escape it.

From what I have read he is 23 and I believe they said he had been here for I think 12 years which would put him at 11 when he came over here.  I don't think they have kids in their military.

As for the rest...I personally believe I could stay calmer in a similar situation and it probably would have something to do with my time spent playing AA. But in no way does it make me want to kill (innocent) people. Hell, I live immersed in violence, our whole society does. Perhaps J.T. has a point in saying that these games can train you; but what's more to blame is what drove this kid to do this. It wasn't games, or movies, or any media that drove him to it. It was how he was raised and how he was treated by others.

Or he was completely insane from the get-go.

If video games drive kids to kill JT would of died long ago.

That's because Rush Limbaugh knows what's going on in this country.

I didn't want to spark an argument, but I would agree with this comment.  Rush is usually pretty level headed, but tends make fun of the the left rather than show why his view is better. 

Sometimes I think Rush is even a bit too far right for me.  Mike McConnell would be spot on.  (I can't wait to here Dave's response to this.)
