it can't be that we're having discussions with some substance elsewhere.

Maybe we just don't have any disturbing comments for each other.

I'm sleepy.  I've been to work an hour early the past three days and stayed late Wednesday and yesterday.  Maybe I'll leave early today.

I would be excited about the weekend, but I have to work Saturday and (probably) Sunday.  I know my Saturday shift is 5pm-1am, but I have no idea about Sunday.  I work at Meijer, so it was pretty busy today due to it being a holiday weekend, and it's only my second week there right now, but I'm having a great time.  All the people there (except for my manager) are really, really nice.

I'm a cashier, so I get to say "Hello, how are you doing?" and "Did you find everything all right?" a lot.  The only problem with being a cashier is that I'm responsible for all the money in my register, but I can deal with that.  I'm (fairly) responsible.

The cool thing about working the 2nd/3rd shift is that I don't usually have to do too much after about 11:00.  I just stand at the end of the aisle and wait for customers, so I spend a lot of time looking at anything that slightly interests me or that happens to be in the aisle I'm working at.

Anyway, now that I've babbled for a while, I'm going to have to say that I'm really glad I took this job.  It's not too tough, and I work 40 hours this week, so the pay is pretty good too.  I actually sort of look forward to going to work.

Back to the point of my post, I'm actually pretty excited about this weekend.  Not because it's the weekend, but because I'll be doing something I enjoy besides sitting at home.  Yay for the weekend!

it's good that you like your job.

on a related topic. I love Meijer's. You can get anything there and it's not evil like Wal-Mart.

with that said I'm off for my Saturday hunt.

cheers!

Meijer and Target are fairly similar, basically a better walmart.

Target doesn't have a full-on grocery store but the rest of the merchandise selection is fairly similar.

Meijer's pretty much just an Indiana-and-the-surrounding-states kind of thing.

I don't know about your cities, but in mine the Meijer is much cleaner and better run than the Wal-Mart.  Then again, the Meijer is also much, much newer than the Wal-Mart, but that doesn't give Wal-Mart an excuse to be lazy about their store maintenance.

Some targets have grovery stores, you just dont find them in large cities because there are often too many grocery stores already.

edit: and yeah, the meijer and target are much cleaner than the wal mart.  But walmart did beat target and meijer to the west side of cincinnati by about 3 years.

And meijer is based in Grand Rapids, MI so its kinda a Michigan and surround states thing. ;-)

I went to a gaming shop and couldn't buy anything because i don't have a job and need to make 100 more bucks to pay for summer school Sad
All the extra work and time i put into algebra and i still sucked.
Atleast i don't have to take a math next year...
