I would like to say a few things about CNN Money.
1) They ran an
article about internet over powerline which failed to mention that it has been in Cincinnati for about 2 years now. It is now in full scale deployment, available now in most areas of Cincinnati.
Cincinnati Post article.2) The had a ranking of the best ice cream in the nation, of which Graeter's of Cincinnati was top ranked. However, they credited Graeter's as being based out of Columbus, OH. Graeter's only recently opened up operations in Columbus, OH but has been in Cincinnati for over a century.
3)
Top 10 Most Polluted Best Places to Live.Compare Burlington, KY and West Chester, OH both in Cincy metro.
Burlington, KY comes in #3 most polluted and #79 best places to live.
West Chester, OH comes in at #4 most polluted and #45 best places to live.
anyways /rant.
Some fine print from the article:
Based only on data for more than 1,300 cities in the Best Places database. Included are cities with population of more than 14,000 with above-average income, population growth and real estate appreciation during the past five years.
So the most polluted cities MUST have grown in the past five years, and have above average income. Well, guess what, the Cincinnati suburbs are booming right now, the fastest growth in Ohio by far and near the top in the nation. Plus, the people moving out there are the ones that can build themselves McMansions, which means they are going to have above average income. Plus, the higher demand for land out there has increased property values, producing a rise in real estate values.
