CNNMoney says that 8 of the 10 most polluted suburbs are in Cincinnati. That's some great PR. I am compelled to think it was a smear campaign as some of the burb's listed are most polluted are quite beautiful and affluent. Mason polluted? Bah, how can a town built up from an amusement park and 25 miles from Cincinnati be polluted? That's B-U-L-L-S-H-I-T I say. I'd live there over the smog hell of LA anyday.

And since this is the first post on page 10, I feel obliged to add this...

Have a link to the CNN Money article.  I would like to see what their criteria were and how they gathered their data.

We still have one of the best park systems in the counrty and the cleanest water in the US. (Might still be the world, and that claim may be limited to major cities.)

So is this CNN's way of getting back at us for electing Bush?

I would like to say a few things about CNN Money.

1) They ran an article about internet over powerline which failed to mention that it has been in Cincinnati for about 2 years now.  It is now in full scale deployment, available now in most areas of Cincinnati.
Cincinnati Post article.

2) The had a ranking of the best ice cream in the nation, of which Graeter's of Cincinnati was top ranked.  However, they credited Graeter's as being based out of Columbus, OH.  Graeter's only recently opened up operations in Columbus, OH but has been in Cincinnati for over a century.

3) Top 10 Most Polluted    Best Places to Live.

Compare Burlington, KY and West Chester, OH both in Cincy metro.

Burlington, KY comes in #3 most polluted and #79 best places to live.
West Chester, OH comes in at #4 most polluted and #45 best places to live.

anyways /rant.

Some fine print from the article:
Code:

Based only on data for more than 1,300 cities in the Best Places database. Included are cities with population of more than 14,000 with above-average income, population growth and real estate appreciation during the past five years.

So the most polluted cities MUST have grown in the past five years, and have above average income.  Well, guess what, the Cincinnati suburbs are booming right now, the fastest growth in Ohio by far and near the top in the nation.  Plus, the people moving out there are the ones that can build themselves McMansions, which means they are going to have above average income.  Plus, the higher demand for land out there has increased property values, producing a rise in real estate values.

So it should be "Most polluted good places"

Yeah, so basically CNN has ruined their reputation as a news source.

Lots of new sources destroy their credibility.
Its not hard to do.
But people start listening to those sources again really soon because they are weak.

Thats why TraderJake is afraid.

Wow, that completely sucks.  Nine days of work followed by getting the old wisdom teeth pulled.  Ouch.

Are these 9-5 days?
