Who says having a 9-5 job entitles you to overtime? I can assure you I worked a 10am-12am job 5-6 days a week and I never saw a penny in overtime. Seasonal Employment rules.

WTF?!
No overtime.
Thatsa crime around these parts.
Maybe not but it should be.

I know a bunch of places don't count over time until your full 40 are up though.
So if you work a 12 hour day don't expect 3 hours overtime.

In, Ohio, seasonal employees are not entitled to overtime. Therefore, most people you see at amusement parks that are pulling those 60, 70, 80, 90, or even 109 hour (yes, people do work that) don't see a lick of OT.

Yes, hooray for us!

America:

Taking away your rights and dignity, one day at a time.

I remember dignity. I saw it on tv once, I think.

I lost it four and a half years ago in a horrible accident.

Maybe someday I'll get it back.

I'm pretty sure you'd need a donor for that. Maybe you could kill someone with dignity and steal it from his corpse.

You know, I could, I just could.

Thankfully the Perl lives in the room right next to mine, so it would not be that hard to accomplish.

Are these 9-5 days?

Not at all.  My hours are completely random with the exception that any given day I work is 8 hours.  My schedule is posted on a bulletin next to the spot where I clock in every Saturday, so I just write it down and post it on my computer monitor.  To give you an idea, here is my schedule for this week:

Sun: 2p-10p
Mon: 11a-7p
Tue: 5p-10p
Wed: 12p-8p
Thu: 11a-7p
Fri: Off (Wisdom Teeth Pulled On This Day)
Sat: Off (Extreme Resting Commences)

And that's a week without any days that go until 1 in the morning, which is what I asked to work anyway.  I'll tell you what, my internal clock is beyond confused, but it's ok.  I'm getting paid!   |D

My schedule is getting up at 11.30, then do nothing all day, and fall asleep again at 4 am.

Sorry, but you are becoming a traffic engineer.  No dignity for you!  People are going to be cursing you every time there is a traffic jam.

And I think its time to make a new one of these threads, my work computer can't handle it. :-(
