@pwpcody: Congrats on your full set! Do we get to see a full set pic?

awesome! congrats, and i agree with the idea of the region exclusives as a way to continue collecting for it. at the least you could always pick up some of the better ones, i know there are a decent amount of japanese games that can be played without much issues with the language barrier.

Congrats Cody!

I didn't pick up too much this past week due to Christmas shopping, but I did get a few things, one of which Ikind of regret spending so much for.  Here's the picture:

DefJam Rapstar (Wii) - $2
DefJam Rapstar (PS3) - $3
DefJam Rapstar (XBox 360) - $4

Hey, they were at a price I couldn't resist.

Guitar Hero Aerosmith - $4
Guitar Hero:  On Tour Decades - $4
Generator Rex:  Agent of Providence - $4

All the games listed above were brand new.  Then I got 2 retro games.  I overpaid for both of them, one more than the other.  These were at two game stores that I never saw before while I was Christmas shopping, so I figured why not support the local guys.

Alien Storm was $8 from a local chain here in Michigan called Gameplay.  I'd never been there before, but they had a pretty decent retro selection.  Everything was priced pretty high that I noticed, but I'll go back soon to take a better look.  I've wanted to play this for a while so I just fired on it.

Dune I paid a completely stupid amount for.  $20.  I way overpaid, but there were two reasons I decided to just say to hell with it and buy it:

1)  I haven't seen any Sega CD stuff in the wild in over a year
2)  I really liked the clerks that were working there.  When I came in they let me walk around for a minute before coming up to me and we just shot the shit about games without trying to sell me stuff.  It's been a while since since I've ran into good game store employees, so I figured I might as well do them a solid.  Now that I think about it, the guy working at Gameplay was the same way.  Maybe I've been going to the wrong game stores lately.

At least both of the games were CIB.

I'm going to go through my collection and clean up some of the games, then I'll be taking a ton of pictures and possibly doing a video. It'll probably be my first blog post!

Thanks everyone. It needs to be said one more time that Ghost Soldier is really really awesome for hooking me up when I know he could have gotten more for it elsewhere. Very awesome. I love this community! I plan on finding ways to give back more in the near future as well.

x 2. He doesn't post to often, but he more than makes up for that in generosity when dealing with the community.

Good luck on your SNES Quest. I feel least knowledgeable about that Nintendo system than any other despite it being one of my favorites. I may have to pick your brain for tips when you get further along with it.

And keep me in mind if you decide to go the crazy big accessory route in your SNES collecting and maybe we can make a deal for one of my Exertainment bikes Wink

If you have thoughts on doing that, I WILL resume my SNES collection. I have an a good portion already, though not nearly as much as cody.

I seriously for some reason thought I was sitting around the 350 mark, so it seemed farther away. I'm making a list of the ones I need and there are so many random cheap ones I haven't gotten yet either.

Picked up the following in a craigslist ad for 15.00....

Some of those posters are really cool.  Like a Black box check list, Konami Checklist, etc.  There were also a bunch of warranty cards, and other misc. stuff.

Picked these up off of Nintendo Age.

And picked this up from Goodwill for 2.00.. it's the old floppy version.  CIB w/ the 1994 Larry's Girls Calender.  You can imagine what that looks like.   Wink
