I forgot to take a pic, but you know that point in N64 collecting where you have to bite the bullet and splurge on a bunch of very cheap, very uninteresting sports-type games?

I did that.

Always been on the lookout for Wings of Wor. Looks like a nice copy, too.

Was in a chat with Shadow. You guys are going to have to fight to the death for it.
They are all going up for sale/auction.

More Target-salvage Wii U goodness at Goodwill:

CIB Black Wii U Pro Controller, $24.99: just submitted this as a variation to add to the database.

CIB New Super Mario Bros. U, $29.99

I did that many years ago. I was lucky enough to find a Rhino Games going out of business and bought every cheap title I could.

Finally got my first score of 2013.  Got a NES w/ 2 controllers, game genie w/ book, and 40 games for 40 bucks.

I couldn't really make out the games in his post.  Unfortunately I only needed 2 of these games.  The rest will be used for upgrades and selling.  Most of the games are excellent condition.
Only 1 double in the whole box  Mickey Mouse.

I swear to God, you Ohio collectors have it good.  I went down to Columbus this weekend to visit a friend and he said he wanted to go out hunting with me becuase he's thinking about getting into game collecting.  So I did a real quick search of local video game stores and found DOZENS.  That's not even including thrift shops and other stores like Half Price Books.  We went to three and I had to call it off because I hit the limit of what I wanted to spend.

Anyways, here's what I got:

The first store we stopped at was Video Game and Music Exchange.  Their prices on retro stuff was pretty high, but PS 2 era was decently priced.  I decided just to go cheap here and get a bunch of 1 and 2 dollar games:
Boxing Legends of the Ring (SNES) - .99
Bill Laimbeer's Combat Basketball (SNES) - 1.99
Emmitt Smith Football (SNES) - .99
Super Battleship (SNES) - 2.99
NES Play Action Football (NES) - .99
Syphon Filter:  Dark Mirror (PS2, cib) - 1.99

Next we went to a Play N Trade.  Their retro section was pretty small, but it was better than most of the stores in my area.  They were also having a 3 for $10 on select Gamecube, PS2, XBox 360, etc. games.
Porky Pig's Haunted Holiday (SNES) - $5
Rival Turf (SNES) - $5
Max Steel (DC, cib) - $5
Cyborg Justice (Genesis, cb) - $3
Monster House (GC, cib), 007 Everything or Nothing (GC, cib) and Ty the Tasmanian Tiger 3 (GC, cib) - $10

After that, I was ready to call it a day, but my friend wanted to stop by a Play It, Trade It by his house because he wanted to get a Retron 3.  I didn't really want to spend any more, but I still picked up three more games:
Star Soldier (NES) - 1.99
Super Glove Ball (NES) - .99
The Karate Kid (NES) - 3.00

And to Top everything off, when I got home today I found a package at my door with the games I ordered from Square-Enix's 50% off sale.
Final Fantasy Favorites edition (PSP, new) - $5
Final Fantasy II Favorites edition (PSP, new) - $5
Final Fantasy Tactics:  The War of the Lions Favorites edition (PSP, new) - $5

If I lived in Columbus, I would never have any money.  I can't remember the last time I had to cut myself off from even looking for anything else.

I'm very jealous of cverz2 today. Not that I need a lot of the games, but that type of score simply does not exist in my area.

Today was a pretty depressing day of hunting for me. Every Sunday, I go to a store in a flea market with a couple of friends. This week, we decided to bring a first timer along too. My plan was to look for mostly SNES stuff, but also NES stuff (which is typically my focus). We showed up and the store was half empty. As it turns out, the owner took all of the NES/SNES stuff back to his pawn shop (2.5 hours away) to inventory it and restock it. Unfortunately, he fell ill and wasn't able to bring the stock back before the weekend. Thankfully, I own a bunch of systems, so it's never a complete loss for me, but my buddies are more NES-centric and weren't enjoying the visit as much as they normally would.

I ended up with one of my smallest Sunday hauls in a long time. I spent $5 on a CIB copy of Cyborg Justice for the genesis and I decided to reserve $5 for a PS2 game I'd never heard of which I'd be buying solely based on cover art. That ended up being McFarlane's Evil Prophecy. My buddy ended up getting a black label copy of Shadow of the Colossus for $10 to replace his Greatest Hits version. He always tries to give me a few bucks for gas, which I usually refuse. I told him I'd take his Greatest Hits copy of SotC instead.

Holy crap, we really did order the exact same games from that half-off sale!

Mine haven't yet arrived, though.

But when they do, y'all will be the first to know.

Picked up a copy of Grandia, been looking for that one for ages. Always thought it was available on the Saturn only recently learned it was only released on the Playstation in the US.  Can't wait to get started on it. Also picked up a copy of Phantasy Star IV. Been wanting to try that series for a while too. It'll have to wait until after Grandia though  slick

Think I have Wor, actually. I'll check, but I know I don't have the football game.

Huh, I forgot to post this.  The good friend of mine that sent me a Slim PSP a few weeks back recently let me know about this Metal Gear Solid LE PSP3000 that was on his local Craigslist.  The screen was broken but the seller only wanted $20 for it.  So I sent my friend the funds and a bit extra for his trouble and then got myself a new OEM screen for it on eBay.

@cverz2: Great score!

I am not sure if it is just me, but it seems like people on here have been finding some good scores, lately.

I just picked this up at Goodwill for 12 bucks. I wish it had the cords and game with it, but hopefully I can find some soon.
