I am sure others could chime in, but from what I understand it is basically a piece of plastic that Nintendo put their stamp of approval on.  You set an NES controller in the rectangular space and it is suppose to make it easier to tap the buttons faster.

I once made the mistake of smelling a NES cart.  Man, the last guy that blew in it must have had bad breath, because it smelled like a sack full of assholes.

I would have.  Terrible but great conversation piece.  Kind of the reason I spent too much on my Tiger Game.com collection.

Got these in the mail today from a trade with Singlebanana.  I am getting closer to completing my Konami silver box subset and Mega Man subset.  All I need is Mega Man 1,2 and 4 CIB or IB for 2 and 4 and CIB for Mega Man 1 (I have carts for 2 and 4).

Oh, and here's the progress on the Konami silver box subset.  I need to find replacements for Double Dribble and Blades of Steel, the boxes are in terrible shape.

Found this at the flea market Sunday for $1.  All I seem to be finding lately is Playstation games when I don't even really collect them.

Hey everyone got some free stuff at a local store in town.  Are these rare in the boxes?? Not the Nuby Cleaner but the Licensed NES Protectors.

I have 3 Blue and 2 White cases all Brand New!

I've never seen them in the boxes like that. I have a few licensed plastic cases like that loose. I remember buying them individually way back when and I assume they were probably removed from those boxes before being sold in stores.

When I purchased mine as a kid at a now-defunct toy store, they were wrapped up in bundles of 5 and sold on the shelves like that. Not sure if I've ever seen a box for them.

Definitely cooler that way. Don't use them just leave them boxed up like that Grin
