Great Grabs Zagnorch! I am always on the look out for Hints Books, and Game Guides, especially the Jeff Rovin ones

I have three of the Rovin books now, and I found them all at the same thrift.

I should probably go back there again in a few days, just to see if I get lucky again.

Nice, I would like to own them all, someday. Not sure how many he wrote. I know they are to be found on ebay for pretty cheap, but I hope to find them at the thrift.

Had a 50% off coupon for one of my local thrifts so I picked these all up for dirt cheap.

Games include

Namco Plug 'n Play
Silent Service (NES)  Insert joke here _________.
Austin Powers Pinball (PS1)  Shall we play now, or shall we play later?
Sonic CD (PC)
Pac-Man Collection (GBA)
Wario-Ware, Inc (GBA)
Donald Duck: Goin' Qu@ckers (GBC)

Then I shot over to my local game store to see what they had. Picked me up

Sonic 2 (GEN)  Finally got a copy without the NOT FOR RESALE to display in my Sonic Shrine
Vanguard W/Manual (2600)
Breakout (2600)
Spider Fighter (2600)
Missile Command (2600)
Chrono Trigger (DS)  Fleach recommended this to me  Grin
Centurion: Defender of Rome (GEN)
Rebuilt Paddle Controllers (2600)
Pitfall: The Mayan Adventure (32X)  I should note I paid $3 for the box. The manual and poster are in great shape, the box has a few tears in the front. It had no game included but I already own the game loose.

Nice 2600 titles. Spider Fighter is the best shooter on that system. Very fast and furious. And yes, I have scored high enough for the patch. Smiley

I'm new to the 2600 world but I must admit I find Activision games to be well made overall. I'm very happy to pick up the paddle controllers so I can actually play all the games since some games require it.

Sadly, when I was younger, I didn't play many paddle games and didn't even realize so many good ones were made. Would be happy to send you a list of good titles if you want via PM. Sorry to get OT. Back to your regularly scheduled program already in progress.

In all seriousness, Razor, Pitfall with the poster is the last rarity I need for the 32X system. To get the poster for $3 alone is just mindboggling - since the eBay community found out the poster was rare, CIB Pitfall 32X w/ poster has skyrocketed from $40 to over $150 now...

Yeah. I've seen it go twice for trivial prices and been strapped for cash both times. I want to complete my 32X collection this year, but that's putting a damper on things.

The 32X Pitfall poster is different than the Genesis version, I imagine?

It has an additional 32X logo on it. That's it...

Same poster, but with Sega 32X. They shipped the same poster for all of the Pitfall: The Mayan Adventure games and just replaced the logos on them for Genesis/SCD/32X/SNES.

Seriously, Razor, I can't believe the price you got on The Pitfall box with poster.
