Went out and did some hunting with GamerNick today, found some decent stuff, and got something awesome in the mail from Silver80.
First we have some paper and music. Strategy guides for Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, and Drakengard. A back issue of Game Informer (LoZ: Skyward Sword. Had to get it to add to the Zelda pile). A couple Warcraft manga I'm going to fire off in someones general direction as soon as I get to the post office, and the soundtrack to Afro Samurai.
On to some games...
Gopher, Mouse Trap, and Super Breakout for Atari 2600. Dig Dug and Pac Man for 5200. Jurassic Park Rampage Edition for Genesis. The Legend of Zelda NES Classics for GBA, and Final Fantasy II for SNES.
Columns and ToeJam & Earl for Genesis, MechAssault 2: Lone Wolf (SE) for XBox, Twisted Metal Black (upgrade for my crap copy), and Castlevania: Curse of Darkness (sealed) for PS2, and Treasure Master for NES.
and a little bit o' hardware. Super Advantage, Slik Stik, Saturn 3D controller, and Dreamcast RF switch.
and lastly an awesomely complete copy of Lunar 2 came in the mail from Silver80 today after we worked out a trade. Niiiiiiice.

Got my Castlevania Chronicles for PSOne in the mail today. Didn't get a deal on it or anything but this is still a win for my Collecting Goal.

Good! The more you spend now, the less you'll have to compete with me and all the stuff I want to buy at the show
And I think I just noticed for the first time that not all SNES carts are shaped the same

I'd like to hear how that Walking Dead game is. I'm hearing that it has the quality and storyline of a PS2 FPS, but having The Walking Dead name had sparked my interest.

I'm looking for more Tengen stuff at the show. Nothing too crazy.
I never noticed that about the S-N-E-S either...now I'll see it every time.

I wasn't too impressed with the commercials. It seems very rushed to me. Darryl saves Merle, and that's the game? I hope there's more to it than that.

Original version of the system and games locked the cart into the slot while the power was on. Removed in all later versions. I vaguely remember hearing something about why that was, but can't recall now.

Eject button was removed in later versions.
That's because the Eject button was used to remove the lock on the cartridge to hold it in. I have a feeling it was due to the loose connection of the cartridge, since my original SNES would lock up/reset with very little movement applied on my scoop cartridges.

Its being reviewed as one of the worst games of this gen so far. Looks like it would be good for a laugh and thats about it from a view of the videos I've seen of it.
