After being sold out for two weeks and the Sony warehouse running out of supply I finally managed to find a copy of The Last of Us. What's weird is that I was given Axe deodorant and soap. Glad to know EB Game is promoting good personal hygiene.

Stopped by my local Salvation Army thrift store earlier this week, and found this stuff:

The VHS tapes are a former rental copy of Vampire Hunter D, and a movie I haven't watched before, Blood Reign: Curse Of The Yoma, both 50 cents each.

The disk on the bottom right of the first pic is a 3.5" floppy, disk 1 of 2, of something called the Pressing On Screen Saver by Warner Online.  Found that interesting enough to spend a dollar on it, mainly because I don't remember ever seeing any CD-type storage cases that stored floppies of any kind before and I'm a sucker for anything I've never seen before or find kind of odd.

Then there's a copy of Sim City 3000, complete.  Nothing too special.  Finally, there's the Rainbow Six: Rogue Spear manual for the PC version that was only a dime, since they considered it a "regular" book and sell them 10 for a dollar at the moment.  I might have to do a little search for the game and see if it's any good, since now I know how to play it.  Tongue

The next morning, after dropping my nephew off at preschool, I stopped by K-Mart for a couple of things, since it was close, and as I always do, browsed through the games and electronics.  Found this WiiU promo book on the checkout counter back there, and it was the only one left.  It's as you'd expect, just basically hyping up the WiiU and making it sound like it's so much better than anything else ever created.   Roll Eyes  Only thing gaming related I picked up there.

After that, went to a couple of other stores for things, and ended up being close to Goodwill, so I stopped in.  They didn't have anything gaming-related except this, which is unopened and was only two dollars.  Funny thing, I saw this same one at K-Mart just about an hour before, brand new for twenty bucks, so I think I got a good deal there.

And finally:

I was helping out my brother clean out some of his old things, and I ran across these games I had forgotten he had "borrowed" from me a long, LONG time ago and never returned.  That's 2 that now I don't have to worry about buying again. Grin

God, I miss that guy. He left us far too soon...

ANYway: being big on the TI-80 series graphing calculator line, I discovered one of the most awesome machines Texas Instruments ever put out, complete and boxed, for $5.99:

Speak & Spell: don't phone home without it.

Oh yeah, I also picked up some other stuff you probably could care less about, including a AD&D Forgotten Realms Demihuman Deities guide and the following complete BradyGames strats for $10:

- GuildWars 2

- Kingdom Hearts

- Kingdom Hearts II

- KH: Birth by Sleep

- KH: 358/2 Days

A few other knick-knacks you might find of interest:

CIB PSP games, $4.99 each:

- NeoPets Petpet Adventures: The Wand of Wishing

- Gurumin: A Monstrous Adventure

CIB PS1 games, $0.99 each:

- Star Wars Rebel Assault II

- Resident Evil Survivor

- Mech Warrior 2

And a Korean copy of Wii Play for $4.99.

And there you have it... for now.

That's the beauty of World War V: it's so intense, it skips over the other two.

I bought tnis sealed on eBay for $1.99.  I have the original and I'm sure the expansion is great, but I got it for a different reason.  Someone made a Legend of Zelda mod for this expansion, a full Hyrule: Total War!  They remodeled all the units to play as Gorons, Zoras, Twilight, Sheikas, Kokiri, Hylians all sorts of races.  Curiosly Link is not in the game but they explain it in the story.  I can't wait to install this and play.

Take a look at the trailer.
