You had one as a kid?

I only know one other person who actually had a TG16 when it was new, and he only had it because his dad worked at NEC.

yeah, right around the time the TG16 ate shit in the US I convinced my mom to snag us one. They were on clearance at Babbage's or EB for like $50 if I recall correctly. The sucky thing was that this also meant all the games were on clearance so finding ones you wanted in the pre-internet dayz was difficult. So while I wanted the system for Splatterhouse and Bonk I didn't get to play those games for another decade. You were kind of stuck with whatever games you could still find in the wild. I remember owning Keith Courage, Parasol Stars, a pretty fun volleyball game, etc. I also feel like the console came with a free issue or maybe even subscription to some Turbo magazine... but now my memory is getting fuzzy on it.

My friend had one growing up, but I never found out about it until a year or so ago.  It stopped working, so they threw it out.  Sad

I had a bit of a shopping spree at GameStop today.  I picked up my pre-order of Kirby's Dream Collection.  They have a "Buy 2, Get 2 Free" sale on GameCube games and accessories, so I picked up:

Custom Robo
Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit 2
Game Boy Player (x2)

for $18.

Not bad at all on the Game Boy Players. Mine ended up costing me over $20 on its own.

Thought I was being thrifty trying to buy the disc and player itself separately... nope.

Nothing fancy here just a few random things. I'll post all my finds from now on with pictures because I know you guys like that kind of stuff. Kinda failed to do that since I came to this site...sorry about that.  Moving on  Grin

Picked up God of War (PS2), Alien Hominid (PS2), Triple Score:3 games in 1 (Gen) and I also picked up Sonic X: A Super Sonic Hero for the GBA video player, cause I'm a sucker for anything Sonic. Even though Sonic X is a god awful show. All for around $12 at my local game store.

I always loved that DOOM logo.  I used to draw it all over my homework when I was a kid
