Yeah. When I get that way I usually shave with an electric then move onto the blade, and it works very well.  

And I find the orbital sander leaves less irritation...

I use a two blade Gillette Sensor. Have used it for 10 years of so.

Does anyone use shaving cream? I just use hot water. Soak the face and razor and start shaving.

I use the Mach3 i got free in the mail 2(ish) years ago
It has probably been used a total of 15 times.

I use the Mach3 also.  About the only razor I've found that doesn't slice & dice my neck.
Scott, we had to "dry" shave in bootcamp.  Even doing the hot water trick didn't work for me.  I swear that was about the most painful part of all of bootcamp...  I usually put a hot cloth on my face prior to shaving cream as that softens the barbed wire a bit.

Hot shower first for me, and then I normally shave afterwards. I use shaving cream (some gel brand) and that normally does the trick. I use the basic 2 blade Gillette disposable razors. Maybe its about time to try something a bit better then that?

I don't use shaving cream at all, and most of the time my razors only have one blade.

no shaving cream here. just hot water. I've had some configuration of facial hair since I was 18 and using shaving cream makes it hard to see the parts you don't want to shave.

I use a Mach 3 too.

I don't use shaving cream, either. It's all about the hot water. That and the single-bladed razors, much like freak_boy. I should be shaving everyday, but I'm a little too lazy, so it's more like once every couple of weeks.

I usually only shave 2-3 times a week, should shave daily, but am too lazy.  I'll prolly grow a goatee and pencil beard for my b-day just to pissoff Mrs Jag!
