Test Drive Unlimited. I just spent an hour trying to get some achievements. I got two clothes collectors, three car collectors, and two solo challenge achievements. Most of the others are going to need some effort to get now. Like I have 20/50 of a certain challenge.

using you as a moral compass is kinda weird. It's like asking a thief if it's okay to steal something.

Rome: Total Realism
A mod that makes Rome: Total War more realistic. Pretty awesome, I'm messing around with the Ptolemaic empire right now, carving my way through Seleucid territory so I can cross the Bosphorus and invade Europe.
I could just attack by sea by way of Crete but I prefer raping the Seleucid horses and killing the Seleucid women...or something like that.
I've got to keep my eye on Carthage to the west though, bastards already took out the Numidians, hopefully Rome keeps em busy while I pwn about the East.

I played some Gears of War today. Good game, good graphics, a bit choppy during the cut scenes, only spent forty minutes on it because I was between things.

I got up to the first Berserker in Gears of War, got killed a few times then went to do something else. Something I can't remember now. It's obvious what I need to do but it seems a little clunky somehow. That, and my attention span is too short to bother after dying a few times.
It's a good game so far. Except it has the usual trouble of console shooters where it's hard to aim.

Pull in the left trigger when you're firing to help with aiming.
The bezerker...well...it acts like a bezerker. I think that part feels a little "clunky" as you said, but it's by design. The bezerker, being blind, reacts to sound. So if you want to quicken the pace of the battle, fire a few rounds so she'll know where you are. Then hit double A left or right to jump&roll out of the way.
Are you playing on Casual mode or Hardcore?

I got past the berserker first time when I tried again. Pretty easy. I just usually lose interest after dying a few times. A ten minute break is long enough most of the time. It's a really good game so far. I'm onto Act 2 now.
I'm playing on Casual just to get into it but it might be a bit too easy. I'll play through then try it on Hardcore. I played God of War through on medium and enjoyed the story but then I played on hard and enjoyed the slight increase in skill needed.
I noticed someone was online who I know has Gears of War, so I had a quick one-on-one with him. It was a good laugh. As usual the person I was playing said they were rubbish then beat me more than I beat them.
I got a few kills in then had to walk the dogs.
It's got great graphics except for the textures being low quality on close up angles. What I meant by "hard to aim" is the "left a bit, right a bit" kind of thing.
In other gaming related diary entries, I saw Gameboy Micros were £9.99-19.99 in Comet, so I went in to the first one where the only one they had was pink and £19.99. I went to the other store where they had a few silver and green ones. But the tag on the shelf said £29.99 and £24.99. I asked them to scan them but they were adament that the price was right.
