Everyone, It is of my great grief to tell you that on Sunday, May 6th, 2007, my SNES 'Gray Guy' Passed on. Cry

He was not one of the SNES's that discolored with age. Shocked

A power supply short was found to be the cause of death. Huh

RIP: 'Grey Guy' the SNES :embarassed: Cry

replace the internals and keep the shell, that way a part of it lives on?

Or you could fiddle around with replacing the power supply even.  I dont want to even think about having to get a new SNES these days.

Was it just the Power Supply or did the system die ?

Keep the shell if it was clean. Just replace the insides (as suggested previously)

Mine went about a week ago as well.  Perfect condition but either the system passed peacefully or the power supply.  I'll need to try to revive him with another power supply before he is buried in the local landfill.   drunk

Thanks for all the replies!

I'm just going to buy a new one, hopefully this week. I don't want to fool around with power supplies, I had a bad experience.

My Apple IIe's power supply discharged into me and I was momentarily knocked out. I said "Never Again!"

Thanks again, Ill post a pic of the new one when I get it.
