I had to go to the emergency room Sunday night.  Apparently my gall bladder thinks it runs this show, but I showed that son of a bitch.  He threw stones at me and I threw whatever wonderful drugs they gave me at the ER back at it.  Shut that little puissant right up.

So was grilling out earlier, my house is kind of on a little peninsula of land between two streets, our backyard goes up towards a road and front yard slopes down to one.

Girlfriend was in the kitchen looking out the window as I came in from grilling and goes "OH NO, OH MY GOD" and flips out.

Cat got splattered on the road in my backyard right in front of her. It jumped around all crazy for like ten seconds then lay there twitching.

She's a total cat lady, and was like crippled for awhile. Took all my charm and philosophizing to snap her out of it.

For fucks sake though, the ten seconds out of the day she was looking out that window that had to go and happen.

Sprained my ankle on a hike today.

And it's gonna be bad, 'cuz I heard and felt a pop.

Worse yet, I had to hobble a half-mile to my car.

Even with an ice-down, I know I'm in for a few painful days.
