Well i got my updates when i first logged on.
I have to say so far they seem pretty god.
Haven't really played enough serious matches to know for sure.
We are (or at least I am) going to have to join some people to get in full 16 player brawls.

using you as a moral compass is kinda weird. It's like asking a thief if it's okay to steal something.

I just played a few serious matches an of course we came out on top
The changes really don't seem to be affecting gameplay as much as I initially thought they would. Cept perhaps in fiesta and on Coag when folks are whoring the brute shot.

I use to use the brute shot alot too though.
All the weapons i use to use alot got bonuses with the exception of rox (who got a lessened splash zone) and magnums (which are now 543532409863290x weaker that in Halo)

I didn't know they were going to change the weapons. I'm going to be on today, so it looks like I'm going to have to do some expiramenting.

Me nick and O Pesha spent most of the night leveling down and had a blast.
We would beat the hell out of people and leave the game when we got to 49 kills...Muwahahahaha
A few games we tried to kill our selves and one game we ended at - 135 kills.
People were pissed

The first thing is OK. Just leaving the game.
I would have beened pissed as well if I playd against you. What fun is that for the other team? I think that is just dumb and rude.

Your right it is dumb , but its not like we are hurting the other team... In fact they get the win. I just dont see how its rude :-/ Like I said , your right about it being dumb , but sometimes its fun to do stupid things.
Did I mention they get the win ?

No you are not hurting the other team. And yes you are giving the team a lot of Exp. But what fun is that for the other team? People play Halo to have fun. How is that fun for the otehr team?
I agree with doing stupid things is fun. But thats what custom games are for.

Naw , just playing with you Scotty......
I dont really care if you were picking on me. Like I said, down ranking is stupid , but It was fun seeing how big a negative number we could reach. And I did let the other team kill me for fun in those games.
Not a total loss of fun for the other team.

If you leave the game at 49 wins (presuming the win is at 50), it's pretty much a slap in the face to the other team. And really no different than trash talk (which is really annoying and poor gamer etiquette, imo).
If I were the other team, I wouldn't blame them for getting pissed. And even though you give them the win, it still not fun because it's not earned.
I play online becaus I enjoy the competition. Whether I get beaten the hell out of (which is often) or not, I enjoy learning the game and it's strategy. And we learn by playing against people with better skill then our own.
No offense, but I just don't see any benefit to it no matter how much justification is given that they "got the win".

Maybe , but its not like we gave them a hard time or something..... We just left at 49 kills.
Oh well

In case you haven't heard, the release date of the first 4 new maps (2 free, 2 for $5.99) is this coming Monday, 4/25/05.
Hey Izret, what's the "rox" weapon you mentioned? Is it slang for the rocket launcher?
