That's a good point. I'm in the same situation. It keeps the game fresh, imo. The downside is that you don't level up as fast.

And then when you dont level you go play the people that play 10hours a day and you get your ass kicked. Not much fun there.

I found out that I have more fun with my new buds than I do with you guys most of the time, no offense to anyone here.

I think the big reason for that is that we play a round or two then we'll sit there an bullshit for a while (a while being 20 mins to hours), then back to playing. We agree on custom before we start it an always do what everyone is up for atm. Also tend to keep the party closed or invite only and bring in people that we know are fun *shrug*

Not necessarily, Tynstar. It's kind of like riding a bike if you haven't done so in awhile.

You feel a bit awkward the first few games back, but eventually you get your familiarity back and start playing better. And then the adrenaline kicks in and you're hooked again.

Let's not forget the variety of game types available, too. Lately, I've been playing Slayer and have reached lev 6. But I'm only a 1 or a 2 in a lot of the team games because for awhile that's all I played when I was getting started. Consequently, I got owned a lot! Now, if I were to go back and play them, I'd likely be able to be a smarter and more competitive teammate.

I have a question. When you decide to host a game, how do you open it up to the net and not restrict it to "invite only"?

True there are a ton of games but we seem to always play the same thing.

I agree that even after a few weeks off  you can get back into the swing of things but I still get my ass kicked.

By default it is open to the world. You have to chage it to "invite only".

I am gonna be playing with Dan tonight.
Right now me, him, bearpat, mrwinky, anti, blazin and a few others are playing in a game.

I set it to no limit so i am sure people will leave.
It was originally just to let dan and anti get some training. But i opened the party so peeps could join.

I picked up the new maps around 3am EST. I'm not a fan of Warlock but I love Containment for 1vs1 sniper match girl

Download only took a few mins. Not sure what it'll be like later today though.

Unless something major keeps me from it, I should be getting a good 5 hour block in tomorrow night from 5:30-10:30.  I can't wait to see the new maps.

Is anyone else paying the $6 to get the new maps?  I know I am.

I'm probably going to buy that too for the other 5 maps, but I need some new maps now.  I can navigate all of the originals with my eyes closed.

I'll get the 2 free ones, pay the $5.99 for the 2 bonus ones. I don't know about the next 5 though.

Den, you want to split the cost of the June 28 bonus disc?

Anybody heard whether or not the expansion pack disc will be write-restricted (i.e. limited to one box)?

I was wondering the same thing. Me and Laurel were just discussing it. I think you would be able to use it multiple times. I know you can not use the premium downloads on other xbox's though.... :-/
