finally found Adventure Island II in the wild for $1.99. I've been looking for this one for over 2 years. I could spend 8 to 15 bucks and get it on eBay, but I knew if I was patient I'd score sooner or later. I've now completed my Adventure Island Series, minus the boxes.

I like your philosophy. it's mine as well. besides the savings it's a more satisfying find.

I grabbed a few guides the last couple days:

Super Mario 64
Earthbound
Mortal Kombat II

Congrats on the find. I would of bought it off Ebay then if I found one bought that and traded it or sell it take that cash and buy more games.

A co-worker brought in some N64 games he was selling for his son @ $2 apiece (all loose). I picked up:

Mickey's Speedway USA
Rugrats Paris the movie
Star Wars Battle for Naboo
Rayman 2 the Great Escape
Donkey Kong Racing
Cruis'n Exotica
Pokemon Snap
Starcraft 64

Most of them have his name on them, so does anyone know how to remove permanent marker from a N64 cartridge?

Pokemon Snap? now you can play that in your Pikachu N64.

nice pickup. the 2 cart racers are pretty fun.

as for the marker... if it's on the labels don't even try to get it off. I've found that N64 labels don't take kindly to any forms of cleaning solution.

if it's on the plastic I've had success with Goo-Gone, 409 or rubbing alcohol. I use q-tips to scrub it off. Depending on the marker you made not get it all off but you should be able to make it less visible.

Thanks for the tips. It's on the plastic, so I'll see what I can do.

And I'll get right on that Pokemon Snap campaign...

The car boot sale was bigger than usual this morning. There weren't many games, though. The first stall I saw games at wanted £4 each for common games like Dragon on the Megadrive or a loose Zelda:OoT.

I decided to go with Zelda: Majora's Mask and Super Bomberman 2, both complete. Bomberman is slightly squashed but otherwise they're in good condition. Remember to always check what's inside the box. I was going to buy a couple more games but noticed they were light, so I checked inside and there were no games. I would have had Earthworm Jim 2 if the cartridge was actually in there.

Then further on I got 3 PS1 games and a PS1 memory card for £1.50 each.  Spyro, Spyro 2, and Croc.

From the last person with any games, Metal Slug 4 for the Xbox for £3.

No fantastic deals, but they're ok prices.

Also, this week I ordered some games on Amazon. Mario Kart DS for £18 yesterday.

At the end of May Amazon was doing a World Cup special offer where they gave you a £5 when you spent over £20. I bought Mario 64 DS back then for £23 and got the voucher. Yesterday I noticed it was £18, so I emailed them and got £5 back! They don't advertise this, but if the price goes down within 30 days of ordering something, they'll refund the difference. I found out a few months ago when I ordered a PC controller for £18. The next day it had gone down to £8 but they hadn't sent it yet. I asked how much I would eventually pay and they refunded £10.

So I used that voucher to buy Liberty City Stories and New Super Mario Brothers for £15 and £25, so £35 in total.

I cringe when I see Americans pay only $35 for new DS games, and $15-20 for LCS.
