and this for $10 (more photos in separate thread):

Nice job on the Intl Superstars Soccer!

I found these this afternoon at a Half Price Books on the way home from work today.

$1.98 each. All are complete with books and applicable maps. They're also all pretty much mint condition - cleanest Sega CD cases I've ever found (small cracks on Pitfall case).

SEGA CD:

Android Assaut
Flashback
Dungeon Explorer
Pitfall: The Mayan Adventure

Sega Genesis:

Elemental Master
Master of Monsters
Dragon's Fury
Space Harrier II
Power Monger
Outrun 2019
Dragon's Revenge
Starflight
Gemfire
Super Battleship
Steel Empire

Nice games there. I really, really wish there was a good shop around here to find Genesis/Sega CD games. There just aren't any Sad

I love Steel Empire, aka Empire of Steel. Cheesy I've had it since we got the Mega Drive around 1992/93. One of my favourite games on the Mega Drive.

My good luck continues. I contacted a woman from a Craigslist ad about a Playstation she was getting rid of. I wasn't sure what she had, exactly, but it was free, so I told her I'd come take it. Here is what I ended up getting:

Not a bad little lot, especially for free! It's not all that it's cracked up to be, unfortunately, as Final Fantasy VII is missing disc 3 and the manual, and Final Fantasy VIII is missing the manual. I shouldn't have much trouble completing those games. FFVIII will probably find itself back on eBay as I don't really need 2 copies. FFVII will go right into my collection. It's nice to see karma coming back around for me - I gave my other FFVII Gretest Hits (that I also got for free, oddly enough) away to a friend for nothing, right before the spike in value.

I sold a FFVII missing disc 3 for 40 bucks on ebay.

Also Half Price Books here has barely any video games. Mostly new stuff, that find you had is absolutely amazing.

The HPB here is good for strategy guides, but not much else. Sadly, my best find ever at HPB was a complete Tactics Ogre for PS1 that I, unfortunately, didn't buy because it was $55 and I was unemployed. By the time I had the money, it was gone Sad

From what I can see, I can get a disc 3 for $10-12 on eBay, plus another $10-12 for the manual, so I'll probably just complete it and keep it.

I think I'm going to head to Vegas. My luck lately has been unbelievable. I was bored today, so I figured I'd go to a few stores that I don't normally go (Goodwill and Half Price Books, specifically). I went to Goodwill first. They had nothing on the shelves, so I took a peek into the glass case where they DVDs are normally held. Here's what I saw:

Sealed, baby! They also had a complete Lethal Enforcers for Sega CD (the box still has the cellophane on it). Got both for a total of $8.50! I knew that Time Girl was fairly rare, but I didn't realize how rare (the latest Video Game Collector has it listed for $65 complete).

I never even got to HBP. I'm on my way now!

Hah. I'll do what I can Smiley When I went to HPB, they didn't have anything, but I stopped at the nearby Pawn America and came away with a brand new WD Passport Elite portable hard drive for $40. I already have one, so on eBay it goes. It'll go for $95 + shipping by the end of the week. It wasn't video game luck, but it's no different than finding $50 on the street Smiley

Wow! I recently got a complete copy of that game (not sealed though) for, I think, like 9.99 from an online store. Bizzare, interesting game. Are going to open it?

Not a chance. I'll buy another one if I want to play it. It's too rare/valuable to open.
