This topic is for all problems related to incorrect regions. Whether an entry needs its region changed to something else or an entry deleted because that region doesn't actually exist.

Also, please keep in mind that regions can only be changed to a region in the same main region as that entry. In other words, the first letter of the RFG ID# must be the same. E.G. a game labeled as UK can not be changed to Japan or North America, but it can be changed to elsewhere in Europe such as Spain, France, etc.

Some other topics that may help you out:

This entry is NOT Region Free. The packaging indicates EU, and I will be submitting an NA version.

Please change the region of this from EURO to DE (Germany)

http://www.rfgeneration.c...nfo.pl?ID=E-060-S-00690-A

The game that are in the pictures are the German version (by the language of the back cover and manual)
I will ask for region change in the forum.
You can confirm here.

I saw that you had already submited the UK version (i submited the FR variation) but i don't know if the UK variation isn΄t the Euro variation, and not only UK because two things:
1- the back cover have multi language description
2-the part number ends at -50 (euro release) and not -05(UK release)

please check the image of satakore
http://www.satakore.com/s...oto-1-FIFA-97-EUR-ENG.jpg

so this variation should be european (regionwide) and not UK
http://www.rfgeneration.c...nfo.pl?ID=E-060-S-00691-A

This goes in opposite way of the great informative site satakore, but I believe this is the correct way.

Possibly it could also exist an pure UK variation.

I would be tempted to leave it at UK purely because it's the English language release. But I'm biased cus I'm a Brit  Grin

Shadow - what do you think on this one?

The box cover and manual have the following languages :
English
Spanish
Italian
Swedish
Dutch

I don't have the portuguese variation, but i'm sure that will be basead on this one.

I believe that it's the EURO and not only UK variation. Or you could put the country region/flags that are in the cover/manual

Ok. That changes things if other languages are also printed on the box. I'll try to have a look later when I'm on my PC (can't change regions on my phone lately for some reason)

Well, it's not technically a "Euro" variation, because there are other releases and this specifically covers the languages specified on the box. With that being said, however, 5030935 is the generic Electronic Arts barcode for Europe (5030930 is the barcode for UK), so a particular country is not assigned to the media for lockout or other purposes. The country-specific codes are typically used when the media itself is tailored towards a particular country.

I say have English, Spanish, Italian, Swedish and Dutch as the regions.

FWIW, the manual is in English, which is why it's probably mislabeled by multiple places, but the media likely supports those languages.

Today i submited a variation for the Onslaught game to european megadrive database, and it was aproved as Region Free, but this isn't correct (in my opinion) because will not been realeased in Japan and also don't know if it will fit on a japonese/asia Mega drive due to diferent cartridge slot.

The game is: http://www.rfgeneration.c...nfo.pl?ID=W-040-S-00120-A

In my opinion should exist the european and US variation separately and not region free. If will prevail the Region Free then the US variation should be deleted/merged in the region free, but once again i think it's better to have US and EU variations.

Also note that in most websites (SEGARETRO, RETROCOLLECT,...) there are mention to EU and US releases, with the same part number and EAN.

There are many games from genesis (US) that work on mega drive (EU) and vice versa, but there are diferent packing, and if you cut the right way an japanese cartridge most will work on EU/US system, and we cannot consider as region free!

Here an ebay auction for the pal/EU game, but it's the same of the US variation
http://www.ebay.com/itm/V...d4f850:g:n7IAAOSw2GlXJnrn

This particular game was released on EURO and US market with same box, same manual, same cart. In some cases there are mention to not working with modern GENESIS/Mega Drive's due to implementation of TMMS after 1991, but i can't confirm that. I checked here
