Pan's Labyrinth (Blu-Ray) - (2006) - A

Reason for score -- this movie is utterly amazing....better at home than at the theater where i saw it the first time....

just watched for the first time....

1408:  Two-Disc Collector's Edition - (2007) - A

Reason for score -- pretty riveting movie...i liked it.....the theatrical ending was better than the director's cut ending....

I didn't quite understand the big deal with this movie. Well made, sure--but it just seemed like hyper-violent drivel. You can't tell me you didn't know where it was going about five minutes in.

Saw Sweeney Todd recently.
My younger brother wanted me to see it with him in the cinemas originally, but once I heard it was a musical I really didn't want to, I would rather wait to rent it on DVD, no big loss that way as I could easily walk away.

Turns out it was really quite good.
