Three movies in a row:

Star Wars: The Clone Wars, 2/10 - HAHAHAHAH, pathetic.
The Godfather, 9/10 - Marlon Brandon, nuff' said.
The Stendhal Syndrome, 6/10 - Mixed feelings, it was interesting, but lost some of it's power towards the ending.

just watched....

Osaka Elegy:  Kenji Mizoguchi's Fallen Women:  Eclipse Series 13:  The Criterion Collection - (1936) - A

Reason for score -- great story, but man, did it look terrible.  i realize it was made in '36, but it was hard to watch because the picture was so bad.....

I've been watching The Black Adder. Cheesy I've only watched three episodes so far. Sad The logical thing to do would be to watch them in order, so I'm doing that. It's getting better through the series. Episode 1 seemed a lot more amateurish than the other series, perhaps because the actors were getting into the roles.

Yesterday I saw:

Failure to Launch - 2006 - B-

Chick flick with a retarded story but entertaining nonetheless.

The Bear - 1988 - A

Beautiful movie about a bear cub who lost his mother. It's filmed with actual bears who are trained actors.

Watched that Bravo Channel top 100 horror movie moments last night. It was fun to see that, even if it was mainstream stuff only. Although I disagree with #1.

Probably a pilot episode. They are often quite different from the more polished regular episodes.

Brokeback Mountain - (2005) - A

Excellent movie, sad story.

Johnny English - (2003) - B-

Some good jokes but not much more. Rowan Atkinson is awesome though.

watched last night....

Bram Stoker's Dracula:  The Criterion Collection (Laserdisc) - (1992) - B-

Reason for score -- highly stylized version of the classic story....but wow, keanu cannot act worth anything...

watched today...

Sisters Of The Gion:  Kenji Mizoguchi's Fallen Women:  Eclipse Series 13:  The Criterion Collection - (1936) - B

Reason for score -- decent enough movie, but at times it was almost unwatchable the picture quality was so bad ( i realize it was an eclipse film that didn't receive the criterion treatment, but the picture quality was still terrible.... )

I keep thinking about that Wii game when seeing that title. Tongue What's it called again? Zack & Wiki?
