I have a dream......sorry had a dream, that I would one day become Twin Galaxies Tetris DX champion. I thought of it often, considering myself very skilled at the game and within a couple dozen lines away from the world record holder I was closing in fast. Until recently the 545 lines that Harry J. Hong achieved was a goal well within my grasp. I was sitting somewhere around 520-ish and improving constantly.

I could almost feel the weight of the crown as it sat on my head, feel the weight and balance of the nerd cred scepter in my hand, and was prepared to ready myself for the Hexomino warlords, Tetromino barbarians and polycube pagans who would eventually try to take my kingdom of blocks away from me. I trained in the arts, fasted often, made pilgrimages to level 30 every chance I could, I thought it was enough.

But alas it was not meant to be, for a stranger from yonder land hath smite me upon my brow, before my triumphant victory hath befallen me, leaving me to my fate on the digital field of battle.

The name of my nemesis is Lori Baker and with her absolutely incredible performance of 841 lines she has earned my admiration and my respect as well as a bit of scorn and plenty of jealousy. My only conclusion after finding out is that she has raised the bar so high i'll need to become gaming's version of a pole vaulter if I ever want to reach such a loty height. Instead of a crown prince in the line of succession I feel like the court jester with a serious inferiority complex. There isn't a performance enhancing drug anywhere on the black market that will help me overcome a 300 line lead like that.

Hats off to you Lori on an amazing record. May my jewel encrusted crown you stole turn your forehead green until you give it back to me.

Holy crap that is an amazing record.

I am close to the Streets of Rage 2 (Sega Genesis) record. One of these days I want to try and break it.

Better do it soon before some hotshot comes out of nowhere and blasts the current one to smithereens,

Wow! She completely destroyed the previous mark... @_@

Most I got was 557 lines haha I figured the record would be at least be over 1000.

IMO Tetris DX is the best Tetris game hands down

I was going after the Mario Tennis record, but ran out of energy and haven't played in a while.

I love how she plays down the fact that she's a gamer...saying it's a minor hobby...My ass! lmao  I wonder how many hours she's put into Tetris DX... Wink
