In celebration of the release of Stargate SG-1's final season (season 10) on DVD, take a moment and check out this trailer for the cancelled PC, Xbox and PS2 game Stargate SG-1: The Alliance.

A gorgeous game with everything a Stargate fan would ever want. In fact so much half of it couldn't even be shown in one trailer. Full voice acting from most of the cast, all the gadgets and weapons seen in the show, as well as alien races and plenty of Jaffa. Check them out:

and the second one:

Also a great interview with some still photos of the SG-1 team in action:

What a shame. I was looking forward to that game so much I was thinking about buying the PC version for online and one of the console versions just because. Then they announce they've scrapped it for a MMORPG. *sigh*

Why was there never a SG1 game!!!!!!!!!!! BASTARDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would have bought this day one and i never pay full price ofr games.

I think Ronon killed this game.

There was a stargate game and I'm fairly sure you bough it Tynstar.  Go check your Genesis collection if you dont believe me.

This game looked realy nice and now I regret watching it.  If only I didnt know about it, I could keep wondering why they didnt make one and just assume it was because tv shows and movies generaly translate horibly to games.  This doesnt look the case though.

Yes there was a Stargate game, but it wasn't an SG1 game, it was based on the movie.

I know there is a Stargate game Fuyukaze but not a SG1 game.

There was also a Gameboy/GameGear game as well. Many people don't realize that the Stargate Movie and SG-1 are two different takes on the same theme. The writer of the original Stargate doesn't recognize either of the shows or the characters, places, races etc etc.

So Like a tree with a split trunk there's two different sides to Stargate now, built up over the years and each almost completely different from one another. Before the collectible card game just released this year, there's never been a Stargate game based on the TV version.

What a prick!
