Well, today is St. Patrick's Day. It's a lovely day, really, and regardless of if you're Irish or not it is a fantastic excuse to get drunk, provided of course you're of the legal age. We at RF Generation want you to know that underage drinking is bad, and if you do it beware the consequences. Anyways, hit the jump if you want to delve further into my aside.

Given how this is essentially a drinking holiday, I started to wonder how many games have alcohol references in it. Thanks to the magic of the ESRB website, I learned that quite a few games do. Games like Chrono Trigger, Eternal Sonata, and Okami. Those games, as well as many others, are fantastic games. So, the question becomes, is there some sort of correlation between alcohol references and the quality of a video game?

Who the hell knows? Who the hell cares? I sure don't, and chances are that while you waste the night away (if you're of age) you won't either. But here's the thing, why don't you play a game with alcohol references in it while you drink (if you're of age)? I mean, it's a weeknight, and chances are that if you're like me you have to work tomorrow. So, drink and game*! Doesn't that sound like a winning combination for this most festive drinking holiday? It very well could be.

*RF Generation stresses that we do not condone underage drinking. It's bad, okay? Drink some Kool-Aid or something, but let those who are of age have their fun. You'll be able to drink someday too, you know.

In the SNES version of Tales of Phantasia they get drunk on a ship ride and Mint falls asleep. As she's just sitting at the table still with the other guys talking she keeps talking in her sleep about Cless having sex with her.

I swear I am not making this up.
