Wow I love this game. Classic Outrun at it's best. Don't let the futuristic theme fool you, this is pure Outrun and as good as any other version. One of the fastest games on the Sega Genesis, it is also one of the more flexible. You can adjust the difficulty level to be easy for those pick up and play casual sessions, or choose hard for a serious challenge. The control is top notch and very simple, further making it an easily accessible game

The graphics as indicated in the overview are indeed stunning. One moment your racing along with a sunset and gently sloping hills the next your in the desert gazing at the Pyramids or cruising along an icy road with snowy mountains in the background. Smoke from your vehicle, different types of road surfaces and many forms of roadside hazards make this a very bright and colourful game that's fun to watch.

Of course what is an Outrun game without great music? Outrun 2019 follows it's predecessors with a great soundtrack that is always upbeat and pleasant to listen to. It also has a very passive engine sound that maintains a balance with the music without becoming grating as many 16 bit racing games do.
