Grand Theft Auto 2 is the predecessor to the mega-hit Grand Theft Auto III, which came out on PlayStation 2 some time later. Originally released on PlayStation and PC, this version of GTA2 stays true to the original.
The game puts players in a large city where they must earn money and respect from various local gangs by completing a myriad of missions. Like other games in the series, Grand Theft Auto 2 features vehicles galore (over 100), more weapons than you could want, and much more. Of special note is that this was the last completely 2D Grand Theft Auto game released for home consoles.
