Title: NATO Commander
Post by: FatherJack on July 25, 2019, 03:28:40 AM
Always thought that if there is a difference for versions of a game however small then a variation is added. But is seems that if a part number is different to a version then a variation does not need to be added as the person can just send an edit and put down the part number as an error.

I am looking at the disk for NATO Commander with a different part number, is the new one wrong, probably not but now a new variation needs to be added.

Since there are no images of the C64 release with the part number specified, I did a quick Google search and found this:

The part number listed in the database is there, but that is the former phone number for Microprose. This is corroborated by a search for that number with Microprose and a bunch of old PC magazines listing the address (same as the label) and phone number for the company.

I can totally see how that could be misread as a part number though.
