1/02/07  Mortal Kombat I and II - Gameboy (Euro)
This one totally counts as 2 games since it is 2 in one cart :-P

1/17/07  Feel the Magic XX/XY - DS

4/15/07  Ultimate Mahjongg 10 - PC
Beat these modes:
Solitaire(regular mahjongg), Shisen(aka Four Rivers. It has strange modified rules), Memory, Nanjing(any 2 matching tiles in a row), Sap Tim Pun(blackjack)

4/15/07 Dong: Dan's Pong - GBA
"Beat" this one again. Download here: http://www.freewebs.com/danvx6/games.htm

5/18/07 Black - Xbox
Kind of a lack luster ending... Over all not a bad game though. They could and should make a second one. The story was interesting at least IMO.

5/20/07 The Bible Game - Xbox
Definately worth the 5 bucks i paid for it. I have to admit i found clips of some of the bands to be alright if not halfway decent. Then again i like all sorts of music so i am not surprised. The minigames arn';t that bad either. All of them are religiously inspired in some manner but they are reminiscent of the mini games that Nintendo is now so popular for.
To bad there are only like 12 minigames. :-/

5/20/07 Forgotten Realms: Demon Stone - Xbox
Pretty good game. It was a quick play thru but never the less was enjoyable. Especially since that is mostly what i am going for these days...

9/11/07 Labyrinth - DS
Strange little game. It was OK not worth 20 bucks though. Pick it up discounted.

10/13/2007 Rayman Raving Rabbids - Wii
The game is amazing. Kinda like Wario Ware only better. Fun gameplay and the rabbids are hillarious.

10/18/2007 Halo - Xbox
Way over due. I love the game. I know there are a quite a few of you who don't.

10/19/2007 Rouge Trooper - Xbox
Not a bad game. Your buddies being dead and talking constantyly can be a bit of a bother. Kind of a different take on the genre, collect salvage/dead enemies create/upgrade weapons from it, amo, med kits, upgrade items, etc.
Enemies use use a kill move(stealth kill) on give some bonus salvage points

12/31/07 Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 - DS

Febuary:

1. Medieval 2: Total War - PC - Pwned through Europe and North Africa with the Spanish in a short campaign I turned long and got total domination. Best strategy game to date. 10/10

2. Hitman: Bloodmoney - PC - Ah violence, I love you. Beat her on Rookie mode by blasting my way through every level with silverballers a'blazing. I really do love this series, carnally. 10/10

3. Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory - PC - Apparently this game is linear, and it is in parts, but there were always those other parts where you HAD to go the same way and do the same thing. Weaponry seemed unrealistic in its power. For a supposedly "uber-realistic" game it seems odd that sometimes headshots don't kill. There's no realistic violence to speak of and you have all these stupid rules you have to follow. Good graphics and sound but if you want a good infiltration/stealth game grab Hitman instead. 6.5/10

July:

4. God of War 2 - PS2 - Meh, more of the same from the first one with an extremely stupid storyline. Some cool boss fights until the last one at the end which was really dumb and boring. 7.77/10

Metal Slug 1 (Wii)
Metal Slug 2 (Wii)
Metal Slug X (Wii)
Metal Slug 3 (Wii)
Metal Slug 4 (Wii)
Metal Slug 5 (Wii)
Metal Slug 6 (Wii)
These are from the Wii version of Metal Slug Anthology.

Mario Kart 64 (Wii Virtual Console)
R: Racing Evolution (Xbox)
E.T.* The Extra Terrestrial games 3, 2, and 1
*Trademark of Universal City Studios, Inc.
... and the game still sucks.

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (Xbox)

Noah's Ark from Bible Adventuresv1.4 for NES.  I know people beat down on this game for being repetative and tend to group it with the other second rate bible games... but this one is decent.  A tad bit easy though, so no big accoomplishment.  You do get a rockin' fugue while you watch a flood destroy humanity if you beat it, so... the ending's worth it.  The Baby Moses game always sucked.

Jungle Hunt for Atari 2600
once again, I've been playing this for 15+ years and don't know why I haven't beat it before.

Katamari Damacy is cleared!  Now for the collection pieces...
Rolled up the sun on We ♥ Katamari.  That's about beating it.

Shadow of the Colossus on Normal mode.  Got to the Gecko on Hard, these are getting too repetitive.

Simple wins on Sneak King and Big Bumpin' again, this time for the Xbox 360.

Halo and Halo 2 single & co-op, varying levels (Normal-Legendary) multiple times.

9/25/2007 8:30AM Halo 3 Normal co-op with my bro, yeah, a little slow because I replayed the first two hours with a friend first, plus setup and delivery time.

Halo 3 Legendary - single
Gears of War Casual single, Hardcore Co-op

21.1.07 Resident Evil 4 (PlayStation 2)

A truly awesome game. Miles bigger than what I first anticipated, initially I was expecting a very short game without too much of a difficulty, but how wrong was I. There were numerous levels which I didn't think were in there and some of the end of level bosses were pretty tough. The story and FMV sequences were good, apart from the stereotypical "Ashley" character but it all adds to the sub-humour running throughout the game, and infact the series. Upon completion a few extras are unlocked such as movie-viewer and a arcade style point shooter. I may muck about with these features before I start on my next game.

28.2.07 Pro Evolution Soccer 6 (PlayStation 2)

After around a month of playing I've managed to win the treble, the Masters League, The Division One Cup and the European Cup with Chelsea. Pro Evo is my favourit sports series ever, undoubtedly. Each new game is little more than an update of the previous incarnation but never the less I will still buy each one and do exactly the same thing each year. There really isn't much more to say than I'll probably be posting a similar tale regarding Pro Evo 7 this time next year.

31.5.07 Dead or Alive 3 (X-box)

Completed with all characters. No unlockables or anything so not much replay value. Very similar to Dead or Alive 2. Good while it lasts but can be completed very easily with each character in very little time, probably less then five minutes per character. I'm not the biggest beat 'em up fan anyway and do tend to just plough through them without learning any special moves or combos or anything, but lifes to short and there are too many games to be played without having remember stuff like this. Overall I would say this was worth purchasing and playing if you manage to get it cheap.

8.7.07 Final Fantasy XII (PS2)

Finally decided the time was right to complete FFXII, I knew I was reaching the last stage of the game so decided to try and complete the side quests before I did it. I managed to complete the majority of the mark hunts with the exception of the level seven ones which began to get slightly ridiculous in the amount of time you had to spend searching for the marks. I also collected 9 out of the twelve espers before I decided to call it a do. The game itself is good but nowhere near on a level with FFVII. The combat has been dumbed down to appeal to more people as the turn base battles are now real time. The story was also very sketchy and pretty hard to actually understand fully what was going on, the characters accents didn't help this cause much as I couldn't tell what half of them were saying. This apart I always enjoy final fantasy games and this was no exception. I would recommend to all RPG fans.

27.8.07 Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories (PlayStation 2)

Another great game in the GTA series. More of an extension of Grand Theft Auto 3 than any of the other games as there is no new ground eally covered here. Everything it throws at you we have seen before but as the old addage goes if it ain't broke don't fix it. I only managed to achieve 59% upon completion of all of the story missions, but I really can't be too bothered to go back and get the things I've missed. The majority of which seem to be hidden packages, unique jumps, taxi misions, vigilante, fire fighter etc, etc, etc. Going through this game whets the appetite for GTA 4 when it's released early next year and I canhardly wait. Hopefully they will have loads of new ideas as we need some new territory to tread but in the mean time I always have Vice City Stories to play through.

23.9.07 Far Cry Instincts Evolution (X-box)

A great follow on to Far Cry Instincts, this game cannot be considered a sequel as there is so little new from the original, the only new addition is the ability to feral climb surfaces such as walls or trees, this just adds a platforming element to proceedings and can actually get a little repetetive. There are no new weapons from the previous game either. Evolution is also rather on the short side and was completed without too much trouble. The graphics again are stunning as in the previous game, they could have put a little more in to the however. More guns, more interesting feral abilities, maybe more sub-bosses, it could have done with a story line you could have been bothered following. Overall this game is still well worth a look.

22.10.07 The Warriors (X-box)

Another excellent release from Rockstar. A bloody and violent game constantly rewards with macarbe duty. Yes this game does have stumbling points, the graphics aren't too great, using the Manhunt engine the game was always going to be dark, and this does add to the game but it hardly pushes the hardware. The controls are a little cumbersome at times especially when trying to target a new enemy as opposed to continually kicking the same opponent whilst he's on the floor. The story is excellent to follow and charts the events leading up to the movie, and also has various flashback levels showing how each member o the Warriors joined the gang. After completing the game there is a bonus game to unlock titled "Armies of the Night" which is a homage to the 16 bit age of scrolling beat 'em ups. The game i worth playing through just too unlock this added bonus. Overall yet another classic from Rockstar.

2.11.07 Medal of Honor: European Assault (X-box)

Not the greatest first person shooter ever. Medal of honor games seem to have not evolved very much over the years though this instalment does try some new ideas. This time around you have some basic squad leadership to perform, this does become pretty pointless as your men are useless and don't do very much. This game has also had the difficulty upped quite dramatically following other Medal of Honors and can get quite tough in the later stages. The mission structures can get quite repetitve and each level follows the same or similar set up to the previous. This does indicate though what does need doing on the level so you know if you've achieved everything. The graphics and collision detection aren't the best either, not very realistic and bullets can some times hit invisible walls and definate "head shots" can sometimes appear hit and miss. Anyway, all achivements have been completed unlocking every medal for every mission, it's not often I 100% a game but this time I actually have done.

1.12.07 Command & Conquer + Covert Operations (PC)

The first and original. Completed from the First Decade compilation. The game still retains the qualities which made it great ten years ago. There are faults however which thankfully have been rectified in later incarnations. One of these issues is the speed of the game. Jesus is it slow. When you run out of credits you are waiting ten minutes before the harvester gives you some more, slightly tedious. This game definatley laid the foundations for what was to come and the inclusion of the Covert Missions definatley adds some variety to the bones which were already there. Onto the next game on the disc then. You can't beat a good game of Command & Conquer.

16.12.07 Shadow of the Colossus (PlayStation 2)

Shadow of the Colossus is a game which has received critical praise for the last couple of years, I concur that a lot of this is warranted, but there are also areas of this game which will turn off the modern day gamer. First the positives. The graphics are amazing for the PS2, and the colossus' themselves are breathtaking. The logic required to kill each monster is also excellent as there is a great variety in doing so. The perceived cons however make the game feel quite empty and shallow with nothing to do between each enemy other than actually finding it. This emptiness is however explained once the game is completed. Sure sidequests and pointless enemies could have been added, perhaps levelling up system and intertwining story lines, but that's not the point of this game. It is simple and goes back to the basics of what videogames once were, but adds a next gen sheen 8-bit systems could only ever dream of. This really is a game for the ages, and don't be put off by its shortness just take out as much as you can whilst playing. This game is made to be enjoyed, so enjoy it.

31.12.07 Gears of War (X-box 360)

Completed on casual single player. Will be being replayed on higher difficulty level and co-op. An excellent semi-tactical shooter with awesome graphics to boot. The game isn't particualarly long are difficult to complete but whats in there is good, and needs to be savoured. Some nice original sections also keeps interest up as the end of each chapter usually has some twist to figure out to get things completed. The X-box achievements also offer good replay value as more Gamerpoints are distributed for completion on higher difficulty levels. Definatley worth a pop for any shooter fans and I'm more than happy this was the last game I completed for 2007.

Super Mario 64, finally with 120 stars. The most I ever had was 106 or so, playing at my cousins house when he had n64. Figured it was high time for me to get all 120 stars, so I somehow convinced my cousin to let me borrow his cart and went to work.

Hum, I had some great times with my NES today...Played ICE HOCKEY...oh ya, love that game.  Anyway, hadn't played in awhile.  I was playing as USA with 2 med. guys, a fat, and skinny.  CPU was CZECH with same players.  CPU goes up 4-0 in 1st period!  I managed to come back and tie 5-5 in the 3rd.  SHOOTOFF!...Oh ya...I score one with my fat guy on the first try, CPU scores none until last chance with their fat guy...still tied!  5th period now...no goalies...CPU draws first blood, I match, then I score another.  About 30 seconds left and my skinny guy gets the puck and I just let the clock run out, and win.  It was really awesome, this game is so great.  My fav hockey game by far.

Ok, then I played another of my favs, Mike Tyson's Punchout.  I'm rather good at the game, I've gone through the whole game and beat Tyson many times, with no cheats of course!  I've never even owned a cheating device...heh.  Well today, I pretty much breazed through everyone and TKO'd Tyson in the 3rd round.  Went undefeated and it was yet another awesome MT's Punchout experience.  Long live the NES! :D

Here's what I've beaten so far this year...

Gradius (NES) - I used the Konami Code a few times though
Mega Man X (SNES) - I've beaten this for like the 12th time so far
Blaster Master (NES) - After years of trying I finally beat it a few days ago
Life Force (NES) - Again, I used the Konami Code
Contra (NES) - And again with the Konami Code
Space Harrier II (Genesis)
Commando (Atari 7800)

I came real close to beating Bionic Commando for the NES too, and I would've won if I hadn't had to go through damn Area 11!

Well I just got done beating Ys Book I and II.

That was the first Turbo game I've ever beaten. I don't think that will happen too often considering the high percentage of difficult shooters found on the system. Now that that's over I can get back to Twilight Princess.

Hey, it's me again!

I just beat Adventures in the Magic Kingdom for the NES. I have to say, I was expecting a little bit more of the ending. I was wanting a final level or a boss or something. Oh well, I guess it's still another one I can mark off my list.

some of those levels were pretty hard, nice job

Hey thanks! It was harder than Rescue Rangers but easier than Duck Tales.

Last night I beat Hydra for the Lynx on easy mode. I don't beat Lynx games that often so it was kind of exciting. It's a fun game because it's almost exactly like Roadblasters. Anyway, I'll probably go back and beat the harder difficulties later because I have so few Lynx games to play.

Just make an initial post then edit it when you want to add another game to the list.
No offense, but my problem with that is people don't tend to read posts if they're just edited from old posts. I have some scores I posted over in the arena months ago that never got added because I edited my old post and nobody ever found out about it.

On a side note however, after years of trying and multiple false starts, I finally beat Final Fantasy Adventure on Game Boy. I sure was sick of running out of keys by the end of that thing! It's not too hard if you're at level 70.

Febuary:

5. Half Life 2 - PC - A great experience...You are hurled through a lightning fast journey where you're pulling the trigger. My only gripe is that it lacks very much tactical fighting, but the game is not about that. Still a brilliant piece of art. 9/10

I just beat Star Tropics! This was my 3rd attemt at this game. My first was when I was about 10 and it was far too hard. It was still too hard this time, but I didn't give up on it. It's an excellent game and I'm happy that I can include it on my list.

6. Sniper Elite - PC - Cool game. Realistic bullet physics provide some lulz. AI coulda used more work, as they can just zoom in on you from half a mile away. A little more realism with bullet wounds would have been cool as well. As is, it's pretty much a head shot = a one hit kill and a shot to anywhere else on their bodies = two bullets or more for kills. So you can shoot a guy twice in the pinky, or even his backpack, and kill him. 7.77/10

7. Call of Duty 2 - PC - I got this game today; it was free, thank god. I've been watching Ken Burns "The War" and found myself with a craving to kill some Nazis, so I did, and CoD 2 provided lots and lots of Nazis. Unfortunately; the fact that I got this game today means that I also beat the game today. Teh interwebs told me that it was a 10 hour campaign on normal. Well, it did take me ten hours to beat it...from the time I installed it, but I wasn't playing all ten of those hours, I played for more like four of those hours. The game is stupidly short, it's easy on Normal and your squadmates say the same stupid lines 60,000 times every two minutes. There were a few cool moments: climbing the rope at Point Du Hoc was awesome; as was driving a tank across the dunes of El Almein, but the rest was just meh. I give it a Maligned 6.66/10

Postal 2 - PC - It's mildly funny but after a bit the horrible game play gets to you. If, say, it ran on the Hitman engine, it would be incredible. As is, the game just tries to shock its players, and in this day and age, it could do better. 4/10

Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos beaten on normal 2nd of December, then hard on the 4th.
I use to love playing Warcraft II on the Saturn & PSOne, and only really installed Warcraft III for quick custom battles in my spare time. The battles never were quick though, but the more I played it the more I liked it until I eventually started a campaign out of curiosity. Then I ended up glued to the story until I finished it. The game has now become one off my favourites.

There were a few cool moments: climbing the rope at Point Du Hoc was awesome; as was driving a tank across the dunes of El Almein, but the rest was just meh. I give it a Maligned 6.66/10

8. Postal 2 - PC - It's mildly funny but after a bit the horrible game play gets to you. If, say, it ran on the Hitman engine, it would be incredible. As is, the game just tries to shock its players, and in this day and age, it could do better. 4/10

December

9. Mafia - PC - A wonderful gaming experience. It gets a little annoying at times, and an early level is nearly impossible. But once you hit the middle of the game it just takes off, sending you to an astoundingly...poignant (yes, it is a video game) ending. 9.99/10

23rd of December, finally beat Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne on Normal.
Had been playing it since beating Reign of Chaos. Great follow up and I feel it added even more depth to an already great story.

Febuary:

Some cool boss fights until the last one which was extremely dumb and boring. 7.77/10

5. Half Life 2 - PC - A great experience...You are hurled through a lightning fast journey where you're pulling the trigger. My only gripe is that it lacks very much tactical fighting, but the game is not about that. Still a brilliant piece of art. 9/10

September:

October

8. Postal 2 - PC - It's mildly funny but after a bit the horrible game play gets to you. If, say, it ran on the Hitman engine, it would be incredible. As is, the game just tries to shock its players, and in this day and age, it could do better. 4/10

10. Max Payne 2 - PC - Good as last time. Wonderful gun play, wonderful story. Never needs be a movie as it is cinematic in itself. Not sure why it is not more acclaimed, as it brings video games to an all new level. 10/10

Well I got this one in just in time. I finally beat Twilight Princess on the Wii. I have to say, I'm really going to miss that game. I really can't remember the last time I was so satisfied with a gaming experience. Anyway, that's probably it for me in '07.

Dragon Quest VIII - I only got it Mayish last year, got up to Rhapthorne. Left if for ages, picked it up again killed Rhapthorne, did all the Dragovian Trials and done all the alchemy recipes i wanted (except for the Matchless sword and the ultimate ring). 117 hours in total.

Oh and nester reminded me, early in the year i finished

LoZ : Twilight Princess - 100% completion, i think all poes, hearts, items and fishes caught. I dont remember how long but i think it cost me around 60 hours. Worth it, though like people say, pretty much a rehashed OoT. What was with the the Cucoo Flight Game guy?.. you know what i mean!
