Not a numeric milestone, but I did recently purchase and receive Metal Storm from a nice guy on the Famicom World forums.  It feels good to have my most wanted game finally in my possession.  It even came with the manual.

I hate you. Wait, that's unfair; I don't really hate you...

...but I'm not particularly fond of you right now, either.

I'll get over it, though.

I knew the consequences of my actions, but I had to strike while the iron was hot.  While others were distracted by this seller's Snow Bros. and Zombie Nation, I darted in and scored Metal Storm.

I can only hope you forgive me.

I'm calmed down now, Mr. Penfold, so no worries.

I just noticed a few minutes ago that I'd recently surpassed 25 PC games, making it the 21st platform with 25+ titles in my collection.

Nice, I just grabbed that one recently myself. Is it the DVD combo or just the game?

Yeah I saw you just hit 300 Gamecube. I need to kick it up a notch and catch up. It was the non-DVD release for 1080.

I hit the 800+ entries mark this year, with physical medium somewhere around ~700. Although that number will start going down now that I realize I'm not really a true collector anymore in the traditional sense and really prefer to play my games as opposed to collecting them. And since I haven't really touched my legacy consoles in years (and many of those games are now digitally available via emulation), I really don't have much desire to keep all the old stuff around anymore, as much as I loved it back in the day. That and space is starting to become an issue. It's a bit too hard to manage a large collection, I can't even imagine owning 1k games, let alone 8k, like some people I know. Cry

The day may be coming when I quit gaming for good. Particularly if the digital model succeeds.

Just admit it: they're all empty cases, aren't they.

Well, except the ones I sent you during the holidays. Wink

Not all are empty cases, only around 4.
I think I'll have to go through my whole PS1 collection sometime and make sure they're all listed. Turns out I didn't have one of my "Colin McRae Rally"s listed. Shocked

Just finished off my Atari 2600 Parker Bros. subset with these two fairly rare gems.

This brings me to 465 individual 2600 software titles. Smiley

@singlebanana: Congrats! I've always wanted to try Qbert's Qubes. What's next? Chase the Chuckwagon?

Funny you say that, but Chase the Chuckwagon has seen a significant drop over the last few years. You can now find it fairly often for under $50! I'd love to put together a Spectravision subset (6 games remaining), but it's a rather pricey goal to attain (not as bad as Tigervision or CommaVid, but still). Good news is that it seems the 2600 market is beginning to deflate a bit seeing that I got both of these games for under $100. These would have cost me close to $200 just a year ago.

I thought Mr. Do's Castle had been hovering near $60 for a while now?
