Title: Second of Two Big Microsoft Announcments Tonight
Post by: Tan on March 28, 2007, 02:09:31 PM
Last night it was the Elite. Anyone have any thoughts on the second? A few frontrunners so far on the net are the Halo 3 demo and Microsoft buying Take Two effectively killing GTA IV for the PS3.

Considering how lame the "Elite" announcment was Halo 3 could complete the lameness. "If you bought a crappy game for $50 you get to play an unfinished demo in one month"......yay. Though I suppose that's what allot of 360 owners want to hear.

I think it's gonna be a launch of the Halo 3 beta program for those who got Crackdown or who signed up for it and got lucky with the email deal.

Fine by me, all sports games suck except hockey and the 2k series is way better than EA's. BOOYAH

They'll be announcing the Elite anouncement was a hoax. Followed by much roffling.

And maybe some lollergasms.

EA and sports was more towards Madden being the only NFL game.

@Tan, I agree that the 2K games kick EA's asses. I'm hoping that their All-Pro Football 2K8 can compete with Madden. EA really pissed me off with that NFL-exclusives deal...3 more years of shitty Madden lameness. The last Madden game I owned was Madden '95 on the Genny.

I do enjoy Crackdown, it's been worth the purchase imo. So for me if the Halo 3 Beta activation is the announcement then all the better.  8)

Even if Microsoft buys Take Two, wouldn't Rockstar still publish the GTA4 for PS3?

Maybe the announcement is the new Halo 2 maps that were rumored to only be playable on 360.

These are supposed to be major announcments from them so I'd say it'll be either a new exclusive or something from an existing 1st party franchise or hardware. Halo, Zune or something new altogether.

HA! Hell no! GTA is Take Two's biggest franchise, if MS owns them, do you think they would allow them to publish for the competition's console? Absolutely not.

Couldn't Rockstar find a new publisher? Or is Rockstar owned by Take Two?

R* is owned by Take 2.

Oh. Ok. I thought it was Rockstar that owned Take Two. Then YEAH! Microsoft should buy Take Two! 8)

Thought so but I wanted to make sure.

What time is the announcement going to happen?

I didn't think that mobile web browser announcment that came earlier was actually it, what a complete waste of time if that's the "big" news.  ::)

Was there any hits that it was going to be game related? We all assumed that because we kind of like video games.
