Overview
The ASCII Stick II Turbo was released in 1986 as the successor to the original ASCII Stick. It still uses arcade-quality parts (made by Seimitsu), but has several extra features, such as turbo fire for both buttons B and A and a 4-way/8-way mode switch for games which require precise cardinal directions. In addition, it also has a built-in cassette interface for games like Excitebike or Wrecking Crew, so custom levels can be saved to cassette tape without the use of a Family BASIC keyboard. An 8-pin DIN connector is also present for connecting to ASCII's Turbofile add-on for saving in certain games.
Trivia
The ASCII Stick II Turbo originally retailed for 9,900 yen.
