In 1989, NEC released three new PC Engine consoles; the Core Grafx, PC Engine Shuttle and the Supergrafx. The Core Grafx is similar to the original PC Engine, but instead of having RF out, it has a port for composite video, using a pinout similar to the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive. This makes the Core Grafx and its successor, the Core Grafx II, ideal for those wanting to get into collecting for the PC Engine.
