Overview
The Panasonic FZ-35S was released in Japan in 1998. This system was based on the Panasonic M2 technology, which basically was the 3DO 2. Four games were developed for this system but were never released. This variation of the model was released in limited quantities to corporations utilizing kiosks to advertise their products in Japan.
This second generation of the 3DO was doomed from the start. With the Sony PlayStation dominating the market, the M2 technology could not compete and was scrapped rather early on as being a video game console. Coincidentally, the M2 technology eventually found its way into the manufacturing of microwaves, toasters and coffee machines in Japan.
