The pictures arnt quite a good as the last ones because my camera decided it doesnt want to auto focus. Finally got some more shelves up and unpacked the rest of the games. Moved a few things around too.
First 3 pics are the old shelves re-arranged.

Top shelf has all my odd ball stuff such as empty game boxes, manuals, inserts, etc. The small shelved area in the middle is great for storing games of weird sizes. 3DO, Saturn and Sega CD for now.

Most people familiar with the NES know that it has many underrated games for it. I have not had a chance to play the entire library yet, but as of this writing, Xexyz is in my opinion the MOST underrated NES game.

So I have got through my Sega Genesis, Pico, Master System, Saturn,PC,NES, SNES ,GBA,GBC,GB, Atari 8 bit, Commadore 64, and Atari 2600 games all organized and alphabtized still have all the rest. I have 5 boxes of dups that I need to trade off. If poeple have some newer games for Wii, DS, PSP, PS3 or 360 that want to trade for older games and systems let me know. If poeple live in the Cincinnati area and want to trade we can meet and just get it done
It looks like 2010 is going to be another awesome year for RF Generation. In the first month of the new decade there was a whopping 5,366 total submission. There were 2,012 image additions, 859 game additions, and 1,915 page edits. The top ten submitters all had over 100 submissions and were Paully3433, ga5ket, logical123, Madir, Izret101, Spoon, Malingo, ApolloBoy, OatBob, and Medevilblader. These ten members made 87% of the total submissions last month. Truly these are a dedicated bunch of members that make RFGen the special place that it is. The top staff approvers last month were Izret101, Madir, NES_Rules and ga5ket, each with over 200 approvals last month. These guys let the January submissions in out of the cold that is the queue line and let them into the warmth of the RFGen DB. Without them, those submissions could have very well frozen there, and we don't want frozen submissions.
So remember as you go about your days on the site and remember to thank these eleven individuals for all the hard work that do to keep RFGen THE Classic and Modern Video Game Database!
Greetings everyone,
Its seems that some of you were unfamiliar with my last sound track selection. I've got a feeling I might be repeating that with this entry, I'm hoping not.
E.V.O.: The Search for Eden, one of my all time favorite games. Originally released in Japan during 1992 and later brought the US in 93'. Based heavily on its predecessor "46 Okunen Monogatari: The Shinka Ron", which was available in 1990 on the NEC PC-9801.
I've yet to run into another person who has actually played this game. Its so grossly underrated its annoying. This has to be one of the best action RPGs on the SNES...hell probably one of the better games on the console, period. While it didn't get a whole lot of praise back during its initial release. It seems folks these days have been giving it the credit it deserves. Sadly most of the praise isn't for its music, but thats not to say its doesn't have a memorable track or two. Like todays selection, which is simply titles "The Ocean".
One last thing before getting to the music. I've never ever owned this game in my life. Only rented it more times than I can count. If anyone has or comes across a copy of this for a reasonable price, let me know. Its something I've always wanted to own. Now...on with the music!!
Peace, Roehm21
Greetings everyone,
Hopefully I'm not the only one this has happened to. You ever had a game or two you played a lot when you were younger but nowadays you can never seem to remember playing it? Wonder Boy in Monster World is one of those games, at least for me. My brother and I played this a ton back in the day. Should have picked it up again when I had the chance  . The Sky Castle was the final stage of the game and blessed with one of the best tracks. Not trying to make this a trend but its another cover. Its well done or I certainly wouldn't post it on here. Oh and the song was originally from Wonder Boy III. Enjoy.
Until tomorrow.
Peace,
Roehm21
Greetings everyone,
For those of you that have, what do you remember about the first time you play Castlevania: Symphony of the Night? Other than the awesome exchange between Richter and Lord Dracula during the first part of the game. For me at least, its gotta be the very first song of the game "Prologue". I still remember when I heard that for the first time, Holy shit! Talk about a killer way to start one of if not the best Castlevania of all time. For those of you not fortunate enough to have played this classic yet. You can download the game off of PSN or XBL for fairly cheap. Now prepare yourselves for the awesomeness!
Peace,
Roehm21
Greetings everyone,
*Yawn* Welp, its been kind of a slow day here today folks. Sittin around, playing some games and hanging with the family. Pretty uneventful, but what are ya gonna do. Maybe we could spice up the day with some up beat tunes. Lets see what we got here...hmm. Why not Mega Man, can't go wrong with that stuff. MM9 has had one of the best sounds track in the series as of late. Its kind of cold, so why not Magma Man. Definitely upbeat and should keep your spirits up and your toes tappin. Some how I got a feeling you guys might be getting sick of Mega Man music. I promise there will be a break from it for a while. Any how, heres the track.
Hopefully you enjoyed the music, be sure to let me know what you think. Thats if for me though, gotta finished giving my son his peanut butter and marshmallow sandwich .
Peace,
Roehm21

Sonic and Knuckles, who doesn't love that game? If you don't...well then you might not want to waste your time with this entry. Not too much to really say about the game any way. Its damn good fun and you should play it. If you haven't well...theres something wrong with you :p . Crap! Gotta remember this is not a review *sigh*. Again another cover, but I know this guy and he is great. He's offered some of his talents to another project of mine. So if you like this track, check out some of the guys other work. If not you'll see them on here soon enough. Enough of this...Lava Reef zone. Its bad ass, now crank it.
Thats all for today, until tomorrow.
Peace,

Humorous Gaming Lessons: The Results of Lending | Like any other gamer or collector, I take great pride in the preservation of the spoils of war that reside in my Room of Doom. I do not loan out my games to just anyone. I made the unfortunate mistake of including my brother in my extremely limited 'circle of trust'. Halo: Combat Evolved was our game of choice when it came to head-to head battle. After years of beating on him like a farm animal, I reluctantly lent him my copy to allow him time to refine his skills. Three years later while celebrating my niece's birthday at his home this past month, he presented to me the following:
Brutal, just plain brutal - that is all I have to say about the above picture, though it is still CIB in a somewhat masochistic way. Of course my brother apologized for the condition, albeit chuckling heavily during the entire time of his 'remorseful' delivery. I present to you now the villains (both of whom reek of guilt), who happened to be sitting just to the right of us during this exchange:
I have to admit that my brother used his time wisely when he basically annexed this game from my collection. We eventually fired this up that evening and I received the beating of a lifetime. The can of 'whop-ass' he released on me dwarfed the abuse that I had once imparted upon him.
Lesson 1 --> Don't lend your games out to people who share a household with the villains (or like) pictured above. Lesson 2 --> Beating on your little brother is always fun. Why risk losing that opportunity and loan him a game? | What Have You Got??
Pictures really enhance your story - please include if you can. | | |
Greetings folks,
Just because I am such a tool and obsessed with Mega Man music. Why not bring you another track from one of the best game series ever. This time the music is from the X series, in fact its from my favorite entries in the series. Mega Man X2, a game I almost missed out on during its original release. Like the original, X2 had little to no advertising behind it. Only becaused my friend found and rented it from a local video store. Did I know about its existance and boy am I greatful. Fantastic bosses, upgrades, music and gameplay...I could really go on and on about it. But this isn't a game review. Its about the music dammit!
Flame Stag or Flame Stagger, which ever version of the game you play. The music and play through of this level go hand in head, both a very fast paced and heavy. Its made even heavier as this remix is a metalized version. Which is always a huge positive in my book. Hopefully most of you will feel the same. Enjoy.
Be sure to leave comments and let me know what you think, until tomorrow.
Peace,
Roehm21
Greetings Everyone,
Names Roehm21, Daniel if you would prefer. This is the first entry in this new blog, so why not give a little back story first. For the past few days I've been posting some awesome game music on my Facebook account. Come to find out none of my friends are really all that into game tunes. Being a tad disappointed, I figured the best place to share my interests is with my fellow gamers. Which is what brought me here.
Now I'm not going to say that I'm some sort of video game expert. But I've been playing for over 18 years on an almost daily basis...not sure if thats a good thing or not :p . Hopefully y'all will enjoy this little blog, maybe I can include some important fact about that games or something. Nothing is finalized at this point. Enough of that, lets get one with the music.

It has been a long time since I have went looking for video game related stuff...since before the birth of my son almost six months ago. I was very eager to find something unique to add to my collection. I wasn't disappointed. Spending just under $50, I was able to add 18 games, 1 system, and 10 controllers/accessories to my collection...all without a single yard sale in the mix.
Since I am a little pressed for time this week and probably will not be able to write again for a while, I will make this short and simple.
Pawn shop: The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening (GB) and Operation "C" (GB) for $3 each
Gamestop: Black & Bruised (GC), XIII (GC), Asterix & Obelix Kick Buttix (PS2), Oni (PS2), and Wipeout Pure (PSP) for $2.69 each
3 Thrift stores: Dreamcast system with two controllers, four memory cards, A/V cables, Power cable, and 4 games all for $10, (Armada, Star Wars: Demolition, Trickstyle, and Virtua Fighter 3tb), NBA Jam and Madden '93 (GEN) for $0.50 each, Super Mario 64 (N64) for $0.99, a Multi-tap (GB) for $0.99, and something called a "Quickshot" (SNES) also for $0.99.
FYE (For Your Entertainment): Going out of business sale!!! Wartech (X360), Watchmen: The End is Nigh Parts 1 and 2 (X360), Aedis Eclipse (PSP), Death Jr.: Science Fair of Doom (DS), and Marvel Trading Card Game (DS) (all new and all for a discounted 90%!!!!!) at $2.99 each
I am very happy with yesterday's finds and hope to continue this trend when I move back to my hometown region of Denver, CO this summer. Thank you all for reading and I hope you are having a great 2010 thus far!
