Review:

This game made its debut on the Movie "Wizard", in which a kid entered a Video Game contest, and the final challenge was to play a new, unknown game - Super Mario Bros. 3! That was a pretty neat way for Nintendo to show it off, and it more than deserved it.

In Mario's third game for Nintendo, he's at it once again saving the princess from that no good Bowser. Except this time time Bowser's got some help... his 7 koopa kids! They've run amok and turned the whole kingdom upside down. It's up to Mario to work his way through 8 giant worlds and challenges. Travel from Giant Land, Ice Land, Pipeland and Skyland. Mario has a few new tricks up his sleeve to help with his journey - he now can fly for a limited amount of time as Raccoon Mario. Swim in water as frog Mario, turn into a stone statue as Tanooki Mario, throw hammers like those awful Hammer Bros. as Hammer Mario... and even ride in a goomba's shoe!

Travel through the new-style Mario, where you travel along a map to get to levels. Along the way, you will find mini-games, Toad's House, Hammer Bros. and maybe a few other surprises. Each world holds one of Koopa's kids, who have taken over a castle and terrorized the King greatly by transforming him. Use unique items like P-Wings, Whistles and different suits to help you, not as you get them but actually carrying an inventory with you.

The graphics are totally awesome. I remember when this game first came out, and the graphics were just unbelievable. Nothing like it was around at the time.

A sing-along soundtrack gives the game a good atmosphere that won't tire anytime soon.

Game play is fun, addictive and truly original.

It's a good, big long game and something you can easily get into. In my opinion I think this is one of the best for NES, and maybe the best for Mario as well. It's a game that still has that magic to keep around and play year after year.
