Review:
A good game and nice alternative to EA's NHL series, ESPN National Hockey Night has some nice features. The choice between vertical view as most games are and a side view much like televised games is a nice addition and also switchable during the game. Graphics as good as it's competitors and control but the sound to me seemed much crisper. Voice clips, organ music (in digital form mind you), cheering or booing fans, grunts and such are well done and do much to add to the game's appeal.
Also the menu system is very slick and if your into a quick pick up and play game there is little need to mess around in the menu right off the start. I think overall this game has a very approachable interface and is very fun to play, and seems to have a bit more soul than it's EA counterpart.
